What are you anticipating more, BF3 or new COD?

I'm looking forward to the new COD (yes, I forgot the name. MW3 or 4?) more than the new BF. What about you guys?

Honestly I don't understand the hate between the 2 groups?? I play both and both seem like completely different games so I really don't compare them.

I don't hate either. I was just wondering which one you guys were more hyped for. And you're right, sure the dynamics are the same, but they are considerably different.

Initially I was more pumped for BF3. After playing the beta I'm looking forward to both equally...maybe leaning more toward MW3. I agree though, they really are different games. You can't really compare them IMO other than them both being first person shooters about war.

The only real beef I have with COD is that it's not new enough to justify me giving them $60. Great, new campaign, a few new little multiplayer options and some new maps, same engine. Granted, it will probably sell like hotcakes and be fun to play... but I'm not going to support a company that is trying to turn COD into a yearly release. Maybe if they only charged $30 for it I'd be a bit more excited. That, plus the stupid corporate BS that ended in West and Zampella leaving really doesn't leave me feeling charitable towards Activision.

BF3 x 490000!

My brother, my friends, and pretty much the whole crew of my boat is gonna be playing it... A few are loyal to COD and will be MW3 players, but at this point, its almost like a Chevy vs Ford war, lol.

The only thing I have been disappointed in w/ COD is it is geared towards multiplayer and not single player. I beat the game in a matter of days. Is BF3 the same? I have never played it.

Battlefield has always been a multi-player first kind of game, but with BF3 DICE has said they put a fair amount of effort into creating a good single player campaign. From the few videos they showed of a mission on YouTube, it definitely looks like it could be pretty awesome.
