Big 12 news....it appears that the SEC will not offer Missouri because there is concern over the distance to travel and the added cost of doing so to a non-revenue producing place.

"Heard" that Nebraska was the one holding out on the equal revenue sharing..hmmmmmmm

Also I have a question for you Big 12/LHN people. I have read that it was against the UIL rules to televise Tx High School games, but I have seen several games where Texas High School teams have played on TV such as ESPN, FOX etc....so what is the difference in the LHN.....?

ESPN & Fox broadcast games on "ESPN & Fox networks" with NO affiliation to ANY college programs what-so-ever during broadcast!!! If the LHN was to broadcast a high school game, it would be associates with UT....on a UT network.

Yeah they were live and regular season......Sometimes early in the season...I think it is the Herstriet Classic....but every week they have some high school games of the week...not only from Texas. I think they do games with the Top Recruits in them.

We had one shown where Jaimes Winston plays....They showed Hueytown Vs McAdory.

No these were done on the network channels like ESPN, FOX Sports South, ESPNU ESPN2 etc.......they did say where the kids had committed to as well. Pretty much every week there is a couple of high school games. But again it is mostly to show off the top recruits across the nation and whomever they may be playing.

It is kinda funny watching it, usually it has one team that is in the top 25 ranking for high school.

The UIL is a Texas-based organization.

The UIL forbids all high school games from being broadcast unless they are playoff games.

Coincidentally, the UIL was created in 1910 by The University of Texas.

I understand that but I have seen non-playoff high school teams this year from the state of Texas, maybe they don't air in Texas but I watch them....Next time they advertise a team from Tx I'll let you know when it is going to air....maybe something I don't know.

Not a playoff game!! Look on ESPN's web page, they list all past and upcoming HS football games to be played on ESPN!

Not going crazy...and the reason LHN is different than just regular ESPN!!
