Well Beebe is out I just saw on ESPN minutes ago that he stepped down as commissioner and former Big Eight commissioner Chuck Neinas will serve as interim commissioner for the rest of the season.

Like this is going to make a difference on the field lol

I have to say everyone is happy as I just heard every coach of the big12 say this was a Great suprise.
Even Deloss Dodds said change may be nice as long as it keeps the Big12 together. Texas has agreed to vote Dan Beebe out but as they stand even with a new commissioner they WILL NOT SHARE ANY REVENUE OF THE LHN as there is no threat stated from a 24/7 highlight real of all Texas sports.

I think the big12 needs both Texas and OU without that game the big12 sinks.
People can say what they want without OU and Texas and the anual RRR game the big12 falls. With Texas alone without OU the big12 falls and without Texas and just OU the Big12 falls.
One thing Texas can say is they push multiple Sports deep into post season play each year not 1 or 2 or even 3 but 4 sports so thats even more $$$$$ and coverage to the public and national scene for the confrence past football season.
IMO its important to have both together as long as there is a BCS. Teams like Tech , a&m , Baylor and State can be replaced if they needed to be.
State is making a big step up in the confrence imo with weeden and brandon blackmon.

I agree 100%

If they go back to 12 teams and go back to having the conference in 2 divisions I think it would be wise to split OU and UT up. Same RRR and Same everything else. Then UT and OU could play twice a year.

BYU would be a good addition to the north as well.

Big time celebration in the capitol of Husker Nation today. The Texas lackey puppet has been vaporized! Thank you OU!

You think so ? lol Funny yall are still sitting around paying more attention to whats happening with us.
Buy the LHN you can watch pleanty of clippings of us including james borwn beating yall

http://texas.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1269385

Weather no one else gets on LHN or if they do ESPN still has to pay TEXAS $$$$$$$$$ for having it up and running and there is a contract with no break clause in this deal.

So lets all share revenue in the big12 and Texas still makes $$$$$$$ on the LHN. thats money from every angle. Even dodds know you give a little up in this area to keep people but we make it back in other area's.

only difference if any of US leave the big12 now the big12 can still Televise Texas or OU or even Tech if they are in other confrences

sounds like to me everyone is a winner now
Big12 always gonna make there $$$$$$$
Every team makes more
and as always Texas still making more money because they were smart enough to make there own network.

You know after they get back to winning games more people will get the network. I wrote an e-mail to Directv and asked about the longhorn network
( I dont have it either ) there VP of personel replied with a letter sent to my home address saying the only reason right now no one on there part is signing on to get the network is because with all the talk of Moving around from confrence to confrence they dont want to step into something until cement is flat on the ground and stability is set.

Add some of that TX sucess and lets see if they sit out

Funniest thing I heard on rivals radio just now during lunch it only took Deloss Dodds 1 second to agree to this deal........... Seems even in this confrence the new guys know not to leave 1 second on the clock if you are wanting Texas Gone.

I think its funny Nebraska said we left because TEXAS gets all the calls. I would think all of the big12 championship Butt kickings from OU would get old and drive them out of town.

Can someone answer me a question why is Nebraska still worrying about Texas ? Dont they realize OSU and Michigan Run the Big10

Oh make no mistake about all of the above, most of which was non-sensical ramble, we don't give two twigs about Texas or how much money they do or don't make. But we used all that to our advantage and got what we wanted. Not everything is as it appears. And as for Beebe, he dissed the wrong person and that is why we wanted him to disappear into the night.
You Texans forget the second richest man in the universe is a UNL alumni, money was never an issue.

No, Most of us "Texans" thought you Cornhuskers were tired of getting your A$$'s thumped most of the time, 2nd, was the money issue!!

I did not know that Carlos Slim Helu was a fellow Cornhuskers?

"A Mexican telecoms tycoon has become the second richest man in the world, pushing US investment guru Warren Buffett into third place and breathing down the neck of Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

Carlos Slim Helu quietly slipped past Buffett at the end of last month thanks to his rising stock, and was valued at the close of trade Wednesday at 53.1 billion dollars, 700 million dollars more than Buffett (4/11)"

Do just a little more research and you will find that Warren has given about 2/3's of his wealth away to the Gates foundation. You still don't get it money and games was NEVER the issue. "The more you tighten your grip, the more solar systems will slip through your fingers."

I agree with that the Gates Foundation is a much better place for Mr. Buffet's money than Huskerville,......but if you are comparing Huskerville to an "solar systems slipping through your fingers"....OooK More like if you put a lump of shit in your hand and tighten your grip, the shit will run to the Big10!!!
