New word: "Mace" (not the teargas stuff )
Medieval weapon, as in the iron ball attached to a handle with a chain.

Next word: Planchet

I suggest you stop playing with the blank, metal disc used to mint coins, and get back to concentrating on what you already know, but have yet to say about "mace"

Hint: It has two meanings (that come to my pointy little head). Without giving 'em away, let's state that it can be used in the kitchen, yum, or it could have been used by men during Medieval Times. Ouch!

Cool, thanks, fellahs. You rejected the spice "mace" as well as the vicious iron studded club used as a weapon by those knights during their long nights in the Dark Ages. Whew, that's hella dark, ain't it?

New word: "Whim"

whim = a moment of quick decision, reflex, or impulse.

and the original definition of "mace" (indicating ball at end of chain) actually defined better a flail. A mace basically being a metal, headed club (with or without spikes). But I know ... way too picky.

new word: "falchion"

I take it that your "falchion" is a weapon, but is it a real artifact from conflict, or is it a fantasy weapon known only to aficionados of the sci-fi fantasy genre of fiction? If so, you have effectively cut me out of the game.

By the way, the studded ball on a chain attached to a handle was called a "morning star"...

For your word, "falchion", the best I can manage is that it might resemble the bird of prey, falcon. And that it might be hand-held. Am I on track?

Actually is a real artifact from conflict of European origin, from around a thousand years ago - specifically, a single edged heavy blade. Kinda similar to a machete.

Morningstars generally were similar to maces (but had spikes, or a spiked ball on the end of a handle of either wood or metal).

As a kid, I was fascinated with Middle Ages weaponry and armor ... still am I suppose!

You were close enough, Ivas. Your word!

Oooh, I know this. A halberd is a weapon, a long stick with an axe head on it if I remember correctly from the trashy medieval romance novels of my collegiate days

"Vitriol"

Ooh, I know 'dis one. It means sulfuric acid. Of course, the word has many figurative applications as well.

By the way, your knowledge of "halberd" is quite impressive. Congratulations.

New word: "Psychedelic"

I dont know how to describe it, but it is an adjective used by people whom are "under an influence" to describe how they feel. Can also be used to describe an environment. Usually is used in reference to drugs, such as LSD.

"Typhoon"
