whoo hooo... 219 lbs this morning.

best part, I had a small piece of cake mid day to feed that choc craving. Which means, I may have dropped calories too much. So, still trying to dial it in a little more, but still going in the right direction. Oh and Bonnie, it was an off-day, no workout, no treadmill.
If I smell Cake it goes straight to my.... uhhh......glutes ....so, now you may kiss my glutes!

Here's one I'm going to try!

CHICKEN SPAGHETTI

Vegetable cooking spray
1/4 plus 2 tbsp. diced onion
1/2 c. diced celery
1/4 c. diced green pepper
1 can Mexican style tomatoes, undrained & chopped
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/8 tsp. red pepper
8 oz. skinned, boned, uncooked chicken breast, cut in bite-size pieces
1 c. hot cooked vermicelli

Coat a large skillet with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot. Add onion, celery, green pepper and garlic; saute. Stir in tomatoes and next 5 ingredients. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer 15 minutes. Add chicken. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Serve over vermicelli. (219 calories – 4.9 grams fat.)

Another tasty dinner in 30 minutes, that contains only 219 calories

this sounds good need to get back on track with my diet and try this. just by reading this i got really hungry. Monday i will start my workout once again.

So, I was just walking around outside and this guy who I don't know stops me and says "I didn't see you at the gym this morning." You see, Fridays are my only day off so I sleep in and go to the gym a little later than normal. I explained this to the guy and he said "Well, you deserve to sleep in, you work out really hard every day and you inspire me!" What a GREAT compliment!! I was already pumped because I did 7 UNASSISTED chin ups this morning (well on my way to my goal of being able to do 10 unassisted)...then I get this compliment!! I am so totally motivated right now!!! Time to go back to the gym for round two!! Then yoga tonight!

I'm quite a bit late to the thread, but...

I weighed about 185 at the turn of the year, and I resolved I needed to lose 10 lbs or so. Lower back pain was rearing it's ugly head, I felt tired all the time, just felt heavy. I'm 5'10" by the way. I've been as heavy as 190, but my clothes fit better at that 190 than they did at the 185 I weighed at the beginning of '11. Worked out some, last 3 lbs in three months. The week my daughter was born I weighed 182. With some regular exercise, eating less (thank you divorce stress...), and trying to eat better, I've dropped all the way to 162! I'll try to post some before/now pictures later.

My lunch for the next week. YUM.

Turkey Chili Taco Soup
Gina's Weight Watcher Recipes
Servings: 9 • Size: 1-1/4 cups • Old Points: 3 pts • Points+: 5 pts
Calories: 198.8 • Fat: 1.4 g • Carb: 29.7 g • Fiber: 7.0 g • Protein: 19.5 g

1.3 lbs 99% lean ground turkey
1 medium onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
10 oz can rotel tomatoes with green chilies
15 oz canned or frozen corn, drained
15 oz kidney beans, drained
8 oz tomato sauce
16 oz fat free refried beans
1 packet taco seasoning (you can use 40& less sodium)
2 1/2 cups fat free low sodium chicken broth

In a large pot, brown turkey on medium heat, breaking up with a wooden spoon as it cooks. When cooked through, add onions and pepper and cook 2-3 minutes. Add tomatoes, corn, beans, tomato sauce, refried beans, taco seasoning and chicken broth. Bring to a boil and simmer about 10-15 minutes.

If you want, serve with a few baked tortilla chips and your favorite toppings such as low fat sour cream, jalapeños, reduced fat cheese, chopped scallions, onions, or chopped fresh cilantro. Freeze leftovers in individual portions for future meals.

I haven't even begun to work out yet, just dieting. Cutting out the junk food, soda's etc and eating chicken / fish a lot.

The wake-up call for me to lose weight was, I had a TIA (mini-stroke) and doc said lose weight or face the reaper !

I will start the next week with walk/jog run and light weight training and as stated before, my goal is get to 175 1bs by the end of the October and maintain that weight.

Not the best pics, but it's obvious in the weight loss

well dang on it. I can't seem to get this right either. Now I'm gaining muscle again, crap.

The scales are going back up, but I'm losing inches on the waistline. I need a new belt as I'm on the last hole, great sign I'm doing things right, but how can I reach 212 lbs if I'm gaining muscle weight. This sucks.

lol... and Bonnie, no kicking!
