I think I may buy some of those Smart one's ham and egg breakfast bowls for the morning, Cal 220 Fat 9g Fiber 2g Protein 21g Carbs 13g
From my sister: I personally believe you should makes carbs important in breakfast your body is so hungry. The reason your body will MAYBE go into ketone production is because you haven't ate in about 12 hours but that is very rare. When your body does this it takes the amino acids and breaks them apart to make glucose so that your heart and brain can function (because they only use glucose, not PRO and FAT). So it doesn't really make sense to consume protein because that isn't what your body needs because it's sitting there destroying it (does that make sense?). So that is why so many love oatmeal and the reason you can still eat your toast. |

If you're working out around 4pm eating carbs in your next meal is actually a good thing, just don't over do it. Here is an easy way to get your protein powders down, mix it with other things. I posted a recipie for a chocolate puding that is super healthy, try it. Here is a breakfast suggestion, I eat this almost every day, I'm a bit bigger than you so adjust the quantity 1/2 cup oatmeal 1 scoop ON vanilla protein powder 1/2 cup skim milk 1 whole egg 1 tbs flaxseed or almonds mix it up in a bowl, nuke for about 2 min( maybe less if you cut portion size top with 1/2 banana and 1/2 cup strawberries. I always mix vanilla protein powder with oatmeal, yogurt or any cold cereal, it adds to the flavor and you won't even know it's there texture wise I have a handfull of recipies similar to the chocolate pudding one that use protien powder and are very healthy, I'll post them up. |

Yeah my sister said the same about the carbs at dinner since I usually dont get done working out before 6-7 so she said it was ok if I had some not not over do it.I'm going to have to find something other than pudding to mix it with. Again texture OCD. Any yogart, pudding, cottage cheese, smooth texture is a no go. Awesome post up those recipes when you get time and I'll love you forever. I could definately mix it with some cereal! Where can you get the ON? I'm going to TRY it.

This texture thing you will have to get over, most of the recipies I have with protein powders use the things you have a problem with but also have fruits or nuts if that helps. I will post them soon and you can see. By the way, the one I refer to as chocolate pudding can be frozen and eaten like ice cream.

Stay the hell away from GNC UGH that place is a rip off.
Get your stuff from BodyBuilding.com. Here's the protein. Hrpii turned me on to this particular one and it's awesome. It says a serving size it two scoops, but for you just use one. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/pro.html I like the rich milk chocolate flavor, but get the one you think you'll like best. If you get it and hate it I'll buy it from you......as long as it's not strawberry flavor, I hate strawberries LOL. Your sister and I would disagree. I've found most "dietitians" don't know anything about how to eat if you're weight lifting. Their methods are usually only effective for folks that are 300lbs over weight. I debate with the ones here at work all the time. They get the chemistry but not the implementation. When you work out A LOT your dietary requirements are 100% different from somebody who half ass does a workout and wants to be thin. It takes work AND LOTS of discipline to be better than just average. That's why I pushed to get to 6%...I don't do average period. That's for everybody else. |
