Over a weeks worth of continuous rain allowed me to get caught up at work so I was able to hit the gym today, should be able to keep it up from here on in, picked up right about where I left off as well, will be sleeping good tonight, major stress relief LOL.

DANG IT, now I'm stuck at 8%!!! Time for some starvation I guess.

I was easy on the carbs last week and loaded up at a meal yesterday and lunch and a few more at dinner. Muscles were noticeably more "full" looking this morning than yesterday morning. I don't think that's just in my head but who knows. Do carbs react that fast to re-inflating your muscles after being on low carbs a few days?

I pushed the same weights this week as last, but managed an extra rep or two on each exercise so strength is still going in the right direction which I take to mean I'm not losing any muscle mass. Abs are really showing now and I've got a defined 6 pack.

I was shooting for 6%, but may stop at 7%. I don't wanna start looking "too" thin.

Bad news is my pants and shorts aren't fitting anymore. I can take them off an on without unbuttoning them. I hate wearing belts but I'm too cheap to go try and find new clothes.

I'm about to have some of Bonnie's Taco Chili for lunch. I think it's still good from the batch I made early last week...smells ok anyway...guess I'll find out hahaha.

<OFF TOPIC>

I'm posting this here since there's quite a few gals in this thread.

I had a friend (girl but not girlfriend ya know?) tell me I'm damaged goods because I don't ever want to have kids. WTH? I've seen too many friends go through very nasty divorces (I'd like to keep my hot rods and my house thank you very much) where kids are involved and it spooked the hell outta me, and I'm getting too old anyway...but damaged goods? Seriously?

</OFF TOPIC>
Made that Taco soup today! Mmmmm! I really needed something different this week, plain rice, veggies and fish gets old! LOL

Not sure what your friend meant by "damaged goods" but you've never been married, and you have no kids so that makes no since to me! You have no bagage to speak of so and you take care of yourself so....the goods don't sound damaged to me lol.....Just sayin!!

Whoo hoo Bonnie. Starting to see some abs poking through there! When a female can show abs that's serious business! From your workout it appears you have a reasonably strong back as well. Nice job. I'd encourage you to make it a goal to lat pull your body weight.

That's a funny pic of PQ LOL.

P.S. - I was actually married (high school sweet heart and all that awww). Dated 8 years, married two. The kid thing was a major contributor to the split, but I told her before we got married I didn't want any so she was well aware.

I hit the gym this morning and did 35 mins of elliptical cardio and a pretty quick pace at that. Then hit some abs with cable crunches 100 lbs at 20 reps 3 sets. My body building buddy told me not to do abs too often or it'll make your waist wide, and you want it narrow to keep that V shape, but he said do them just a bit when you wanna define the lines a tick.

I gotta push outta this 8% range, I've been there almost a month. Hrpii, what do I need to do bro? I was gonna nag my buddy at the gym but I've not seen him in a couple weeks.

So far I've diminished the carbs quite a bit and added in two extra days of cardio. Seems I'm stuck in this range. I know you don't believe in the little gizmo, but my weight seems to be going up. I may have hit the point where the muscle is starting to get more dense or something due to the extra protein and while weight is going up BF is staying the same. Not sure.

I'll do my best with the lat pulls, its hard for me though, I have kind of a weak wrist, I'm a little afraid of an injury! But i'll try less reps and more weight little by little!

Use lift straps for pulling movements. It'll take the stress off your wrists and fingers.

I use them for any back exercises.

Welp, checking in....I have been holding steady at my goal weight for about a month or so actually one pound below my goal weight...134. Still looking to gain more lean muscle mass so I have been starting to increase the weights so I am sure that number will go up. Still working on lowering my body fat as well...have not been doing as much cardio as usual because of getting adjusted to the altitude here, but I think I am finally back to being able to push 100%. Did HIIT today...felt good!!

Speedy, as for damaged goods...I wouldn't say you are damaged goods. I did not want to have children either. My husband and I were married for 5 years when SURPRISE!!!!! I miraculously got pregnant. I truthfully wasn't happy about it...but I wouldn't change it for anything in the world!!! My daughter is the best thing that has happened to me!! My outlook on life is totally different now! All that being said, there are women out there who don't want children...you just gotta find her and forget about what everyone else thinks because at the end of the day, you have your reasons and it is your decision to make not anyone else's!

Bon Bon...looking good Sista!!!

Here's something to ponder... maybe it's already been covered.

I ran 7 miles this week. and gained 3 pounds.. I have been eating a little bit more.

Monday tues and wed nights around 11 PM I've ran a little less than 2.5 miles... takes me a little less than 30 mins...

I weigh myself about twice a week so I'm not hawking the scale. weighed my self before I started on Sunday then this morning.

Any thoughts.

Don't panic, there are a number of things that can cause this. Weight loss isn't a mathematical formula where if you do the same thing every day weight loss will be the same everyday. Sometimes you will gain some and sometimes loose some it's the overall trend over time that matters. Muscle gain and water retention can also show as weight gain.

Yep, water is a big one. Running you'll be sweating a lot of it out, then being thirsty you'll guzzle down quite a bit the next day. Keep in mind one gallon of water weighs 8lbs. Now granted you're obviously gonna be getting rid of some of that, but you can see where that would cause some fluctuation. Especially if you've eaten more sodium than normal and your body holds on to it.

I'm wrapping up my current workout routine this week. I've been on it since the first week of March and now at the first week of June it's time to change it up again.

I think I'm gonna go to some very heavy lifting with the Hammer Strength equipment where I can go to absolute failure without risk of smashing myself in the face.

I'll be upping my protein and possibly cutting the carbs even more than I am already in an attempt to force my body down to that 6% goal. I guess the BIG question is what I'll do once (if) I'm there? I gotta a feeling based on how hard it seems to get there it won't be easy to stay there. We'll see.

If I end up stabilizing at 8% I'll be OK with that. I think I look pretty good now, but for some reason that 6% number is just the holy grail for me.

I've been maxing out my workouts this week since this is the last week on it. Hit all 10 reps on just about every exercise and every set this morning. That's a feat on reduced carbs lemme tell ya.

Shoulders/Back

Smith Military Press - 155/155/155 - 10/10/10
Incline dumbbell reverse fly - 35/35/35 10/10/10
HS Seated cable under chin Rope Pull - 90/90/90 10/10/10
Dumbbell Shrugs - 120/120/120 25/25/25 (owwwwww)
Smith bent over row - 215/215/215/215 10/10/10/10 (4 SETS OF 10 BABY)
HS Low Row - 235/235/235 10/10/10
HS Lat Pull (wide grip) - 185/185/185 10/10/10
Front Rack Chin (pull ups) - Body weight 10/10/9 (failed on that last one)

20 mins elliptical

Woot Woot! I loves me some endorphins. Got a nice rush of those after the bent over rows and it was awesome.
