Before modern ECU's you're right Jason, Manuals would smoke autos. Nowadays the L99 is almost dead even with LS3 if both are stock despite the 5% more HP loss at the transmission and the 26 less HP the L99 starts with.

Yes I'm well aware I own an L99 and I'm very pleased with my decision to go with the A6.
