Don't let them fool ya.. I raced a Mid 90's Civic a month or so ago at an 1/8th mile dragstrip and he popped off a 6.7 second run. It was beat up, no bumper, scratches all over it. He was running twin turbo's with front Slicks. He hooked and ran off !! It was kinda embarrassing but gotta give him props !!

That's not the point. The point was instead of taking it to the street, take it to the track. He'll be very surprise what he gets beat by. As far as the turd coment goes, I would rather have a 9 sec civic than a 13sec ls1. If I wanted a car for looks I would own what I have now which is a 5th gen.

Commits weekly crime

I don't bother racing them.
I just roll down the windows, point out the window at their car...and LAUGH MY ASS OFF. Seriously.

I like to taunt the "street racers" into showing exactly how immature they are. Open the cut-outs, rev the engine a little bit, and if they still think they have a chance, I let them look like idiots and I continue doing the speed limit

I love stories like this.
Several years ago when the C5 Z06 came out, Mrs Number 3 had one of the CTF cars. This was the second year of that model that had 405 HP. We are cruising on the world famous Woodward Avenue and we're at a stop light. A kid and 2 buddies pulls up in a Ford Probe. He revs the engine again and again, so I finally roll down the window and as if he can read the badge on the fender (it reads 405 HP in case you weren't up on your Corvette trivia). "I've got Nitrous" he boldly declared. Sadly, he had nothing else on this Probe to indicate it would accomplish anything. I still laugh at that story. Needless to say he pulled away with an ever so momentary squak of the tires trying to prove something to himself or his buddies, but without me in pursuit.

Moral of the story? OP is in high school, thinks he has the fastest car in the world, and is talking about street racing in a forum where every street racing thread gets closed. Winning? Winning.

I remember high school some thirty-seven years ago. I just got my Camaro this past October, if I had it in high school the clutch would be half gone by now.
