Like I repeat in many posts, body weight (fat) doesn't follow a set rule. Usually loosing 5 lbs overnight is more than likely water weight but there are so many variables. In reality you could weigh yourself every hour of the day and your weight will keep changing . You can follow a super strict diet and an exercise program and keep it the exact same for a week or two, weigh yourself everyday and weight loss will still vary quite a bit from day to day. This is why you can't pay attention to daily weight changes or even fat caliper readings, it's the graduall changes over a period of time that's a true inicator. In theory you say your weight hasn't changed but your waist has gotten smaller, in a couple of days or a week you could hop on the scale and see a big weight loss or for that matter weight gain but a trend will be apparent over time. Usually changes weekly or bi-weekly are more easily observed.

![]() So, I was wondering what everyone's favorite energy bars are and why?? Mine are Clif Bars (crunchy peanut butter and oatmeal raisin walnut flavors are my faves)....I like them because they are full of goodness AND taste great!!! They have a great balance of carbs, fats and proteins. Oh, and the fact that they are made from whole, all natural, organic ingredients is an added bonus!!

[/QUOTE]If you sprinkle some protein powder on a candy bar it's cheaper and the same thing LOL. Here is what I eat, not a glorified candy bar but nutrition wise much better. I freeze them and grab one on the go. |

I apoligize for not reading through 64 pages of posts but is anybody doing the INSANITY workout dvds? I'm in week two and boy, it's a great workout (this is coming from an active duty Marine)!!
This workout is really breaking me off and I'm feeling myself get better as each day goes by. I don't know if it's psychosematic but I feel great just knowing I'm getting slain everyday and working to be more like my Camaro and not have a spare tire.

I tried going with that (weights and cardio), there are a lot of guys in my unit that are always in the gym, but for some reason I am unable to stick with going to the gym. It's much easier to do these work-outs in my back room and not have to worry about being stared at by the other gym peoples lol. ![]() The only other tradional work-out I do is run, because...well Marines run a lot as a unit so I do it just to make sure I stay up.

Quote of the Day!! Changing it up a bit, these are lyrics from a song that really helps motivate me...especially when I am training for a marathon and feel like giving up at mile 15!!!!
"Sometimes you feel tired, feel weak, and when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up. But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength and just pull that sh!t out of you and get that motivation to not give up and not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse." ~ Eminem, "Till I Collapse"
