Volt at 31k? - Page 2

If they can deliver a Volt at 31 grand, they wouldn't be able to make enough. It would destroy the Prius. The problem right now is that they still aren't getting enough Volt's out to dealers. They've got to ramp up production while the hype is still strong.

I wouldn't hold your breathe for a 31K sticker. If they cut 10K in costs, would they really reduce the MSRP 10K? I'd think the bean counter in the room would say - hold it, didn't really accomplish anything.

Not a good idea IMO, it would be wiser to use the Volts powertrain in the Chevy Sonic, that would make more sense imo. It would be lighter, have farther range and a bit Cheaper.

I would've kiled for a Sonic either way for my commuter, too bad the Aveo got in the way.
