I have not heard of anything more than 4.00 a gallon or slightly more which is bad but im curious as to who is talking about 7.00 a gallon? please post where you see that one
The talks of 7.00$ a gallon would be in reaction to a blockade or attack on the suez canal or wide spread war in the middle east. This would decrease supplies and cause fear to sky rocket. Iran has threatened to attack the suez canal in retaliation for any act of war on it's country.

5.00 is probably more realistic this summer, if things in the middle east continue to unfold. Unless SHTF real bad, in which case gas wouldn't probably be a huge worry.

Anything above 5.50$ would be unrealistic and worse case scenario.

I read this thread earlier, then went to lunch and it seriously made me look at the price before I pumped gas in my car 45 minutes ago. I just normally just take the nozzle, pump til full, and go. Never really paid enough attention to the price. It is $3.89/gal of 91 octane @ Chevron in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Here in Sweden a gallon costs $ 9.00! And that is the price we have been paying the last couple of years. But it is worth every dollar when I drive my 2010 Camaro 2SS IOM with Rally Stripes LS3 Manual.

Our health care is not that great. Yes, it's free but we pay for it through taxes. We also have an extreme doctor shortage. Unless you are mortally wounded, you will be waiting 8-14 hours in the hospital just to see a doctor. And family doctors are in short supply as well, with most having twice as many patients as they are supposed to have.

It's not uncommon for Canadians who have the money to cross over to the US and pay cash for treatment so they don't have to wait.

Like Sammy Hagar once sang "I can't drive 55", but if I could I would also get 30 mpg with my V6.

Like they say, there is no such thing as a free lunch and if you get anything for free it probably sucks anyway.
