Good and bad for you Canadians, more expensive fuel but free health care.

Those are highway miles, driving at 55 mph vs 80 mph saves time. But if I plan my route accordingly, I save more money than my time is worth. In town I average around 25-26 mpg. Just tune in the XM radio to a good station and enjoy the drive

3.39 for regular here in North Carolina... seems to going up each day though. I am a little worried what it will be for premium when my 2SS vert gets in!

A large portion of our oil is coming from semi-friendly nations. 31.7% from canada and mexico.

Drilling here would take a few years to begin seeing oil and produce gas from the wells. Also the prices wouldn't be any less if we got it from our soil then from the mid-east. American labor + infrastructure cost much more then it does overseas. Between taxes/labor/regulations the price of oil produced in the United States would actually probably be higher.

The reason for rising prices has nothing to do with demand it's all fear based at this point. The current uprisings in the middle east are creating an artificial increase in oil prices fueled by fear.

If something every happens with the suez canal you'll think 4$ a gallon is a steal.
