From my calculations, looks like I only got in about 1450 calories or so which I know is too few (I'm 5'6", 140 lbs, 19% body fat). My goal is to increase muscle and hopefully lose a little bit of body fat while I am at it. Today I am trying to add more calories by having snacks which I don't normally do...I find it difficult to eat when I am not hungry. Good news is I also actually ate breakfast today which I never do either...I am taking hrpii and CFDs "lectures and tongue lashings" to heart and really trying to get this eating thing right!
Sorry for the delay, talking with the doctors here. For weight loss you should be eating roughfly 1700 cals a day at a 500 cal deficit maximum would be 1000 cal defecit which would put you at abot 1200 cals a day so if you are consuming in the 1440 range you are at a good place. Are you showing results?

Just ate my meal.

Turkey chile with some chips.

Bonnie made it for me.

She gave me lots.

And now more coffee.

And later we bowl where I will drink beer.

Life is good.

Yes I am showing results...I feel firmer and my pants are falling down! I actually am getting defined biceps which I never had before. Haven't had a lot of movement on the scale, but I really wasn't expecting to since I am gaining muscle. Glad to hear that my calorie intake wasn't as low as I feared it might be. I just hate the fact that I am at the mercy of the chow hall and have no idea of exactly how they are preparing the food. But, I just make the best choices I can and press on. Here in a few weeks were only gonna get MREs to eat and they are LOADED with calories!! Think I'm gonna have to go get a private stash of tuna pouches, cliff bar, fresh fruit, almonds and whatever other healthy things I can get my paws on to at least limit the MRE calories.

Don't worry about the scales, if you had a lot of excess weight (fat) to loose I would be concerned a little bit that it does not show on the scale but from the stats that you gave scale movement won't be that great, the visible results you are getting are a much better indicator. Also even though I do not know what are in MRE's I have seen something sometime ago in that the rations the army provides are designed to be balanced and provide adequate nutrition. Sometimes even if the calorie content is slightly high if proportioned right it may not be that much of a setback also when calorie intake is restricted for a lengthy period it is sometimes advantageous to up the calorie intake for a short period, so all in all I would say keep things the way they are, at any time no changes are indicated for a period of about two weeks or if things go the wrong way (weight gain) then re-evaluate your plan but for now I'd say it looks great. If I remember correctly it was maybe 3-4 weeks ago you had the bodpod measurement taken, when will you be able to do it again?

Way to go girl! 26 lbs. is my current weight loss total too! (I started trying to "be good" back in November, but just started accountability on this thread after the new year.) Feels great, huh?
