So, just to prove, it's not an all American thing to keep holding on way too heavy to something. I still like Minervas and other Belgian cars (this is a car forum after all, no??? LOL), but bar one (Gillet Vertigo) Belgian has gone far, far away from making their own brand of cars... |

We was in the left lane doing 135 mph and was *blinked* from a car that was at least a good mile or so back.Driver moved to middle lane and no more than a few minutes did the Porshe "whoosh" past us...that's exactly what it sounded like a "whoosh" ....... State side you practically have to pass the idiot in the "middle" lane to get over to the left.......................

No other country in the history of the earth has done more to help other countries than us, both with the blood of our young and monetarily. Try looking up how much we give to other countries monetarily.

Try to see it from a different point of view: The Generation whicht fought in WWII is very old now, most of them died. There are many things in nearer future, for example the war in Iraq, Vietnam, the sponsorship of the Taliban by the CIA and so on, which werent really good for american publicity. Now we Europeans have to fight with financial crisis, brought by the politics of the USA. (Even with stupidness of European Bankers). Quote:
) - but i see this also from another point: Try imagine automobile industrie without competition... We all would drive crappy cars. And also the US automotive Industry built crappy cars. ![]() Nevertheless, some of the US cars are great, some of the European cars are great. |

See, that is why a lot of Europeans do not like the U.S.: Some of you guys have an absolutely excessive addiction when it comes to patriotism. In my experience, usually those guys whine the most about freedom and pride, who never came out of their country. Honestly, do you believe that everyone outside America is living in candel-lit sheds, being bondslave, with only working and obeying the communist's party? Wake up, I can't see anything over here missing (according to freedom) that you guys have. In some cases, I dare to say that I live more freely than an average American. Hard to swallow, but it's the truth.
Oh dear, wasn't that thread about cars first? :P |

Just an FYI. Magneride was not developed by GM and the rights to the system are not, and never have been, owned by GM. The system was developed by Delphi after that company separated from GM and the rights to the design are now owned by BWI. GM was simply the first company to use the setup.

Given this...while I'm not arguing who has rights to the system....I also don't doubt that GM assisted Delphi in the development of that system. EDIT: I do wish GM DID have sole rights to the technology....then maybe it wouldn't have been bought by Chinese BWI.....
