Am considering but I drive about 130 miles a day to and from work which gets me to 30k per year. Anyone else think this would be a bad purchase for me?

No, if you can afford it, the savings will pay off.

Not that I don't love me some Becky, however my mother has worked for the same GM Dealership for almost 30 years now...probably should stick with them

It should look a lot better without the giant gold bow tie's. That would be the first thing I'd changed if I ever got one. Heck I'd de-bage the whole car just to avoid questions from strangers when I'm at the pump....wait a minute, what gas pump it an electric.

If you drive less the 40 miles at a time couldn't you in theory keep the full tank of gas the dealers give's you for years just as long as you use Stabil in the tank.

Theoretically...but no. There's a program on-board that monitors the gas 'life' and will use it up before it goes bad....last time I heard.
