EpiII!? So we get a Chevy Lacrosse to go with its '13 Malibu EpiII Brother. Nice.. :/

Really, they need to consider how the Impala is placed. I seriously think the Impala should be a large RWD cruiser car and a Zeta body would fit that more than a Extra LWB Epsilon II. They have no fleet RWD car and the Malibu is nearly the same size or will be with the next refresh. The Impala is irrelevant as Mitsubishi is in the car market..

Unless your sources are sighting 'Lock on to Taurus and raep raep raep!'.. Because you have a Malibu for that. Hell even resurrect the LS4 for Malibu SS duty.

Big ole quandary here, glad I'm not a part of product planning at GM.. I'd own Tylenol outright in a heartbeat.

Which would make two chevys on Delta IIs.. Cruze and Malibu. Wat?

Cruze is Delta II. Current Malibu is Epsilon I, 2012 Malibu is Epsilon II. CTS is on Sigma II.

The reason there's so much confusion is that the Global Epsilon II platform has spawned a ton of variants. There's the SWB EpII (Insignia/Regal), LWB EpII (LaCrosse, supposedly 2012 Malibu), and Premium EpII (Cadillac XTS/2013? Impala). The NG Impala more or less has Taurus in its sights, the problem is that it's taking forever to get here.

The car in the picture already looks dated. It looks like it belongs in a brochure from 2005.

Probably because the car debuted in 2006, which also leads me to believe that we're getting the new VF Commodore rather than a VE Series II.

Motortrend is reporting the return of the Commodore within the coming year. Now we all know Motortrend's reputation for future-product stuff...but let's hope they're right this time.

Anyway, what are the guesses for the name? It won't be an Impala, they're keeping that for their full size fwd sedan. Caprice seems obvious, but it seems like this will be somewhat different than the Caprice PPV, and having 2 different Caprices might be confusing. Lumina? That could work. A Monte Carlo might be alright, though it may suffer from 'Charger syndrome' by having 4 doors. Bel Air? The name deserves more than just being tossed on a car. I can't think of anything else for a mid/full size sedan.

Bunch of people are throwing the Chevelle nameplate around. Can't wait to see the "Charger syndrome" that will spawn.

In all honesty, I would just keep the Commodore nameplate, but that's just me.

Those are slick units. Buick should get a version and call it a Grand National.
Buick should also get a reskinned Camaro and call it a Grand National X

I'm not saying, i'm just saying.

If they are gonna bring the Holden back to North America it's gonna need a network and a name.

Buick needs to capture a younger market.

They're bringing this car and the Caprice to NA through Chevrolet. No need for a Buick version.

Any future RWD Buicks will be on Alpha anyways and will most likely be reserved for the flagship sedan.
