As long as the truck is 4 wheel drive I think it will be a wise decission to buy it. That truck will last for years. The Camaro sucks on the snow and ice. Besides you really don't want all that salt on Ruby do you? I have a Tahoe 4 wheel drive and I leave my car parked in the garage in the winter whenever the roads are nasty. I'm grateful to have two vehicles.

Oddly enough we've found ourselves here in a similar situation. My Grandfather has decided to give up on driving and living alone so by default my brother got the Impala. He kinda wanted him out of all the other driving age cousins to get it since his current car is failing hard.

Just take care of the truck and by all means do NOT change the name if he gave it one. The Impala must be referred to as Bessie in his presence.. otherwise the "Now whose car is it really" argument comes along.

Give him whatever he wants for it and offer to let him use it whenever he needs to. Show him what bluebook is if he doesn't have a clue, and let him decide. It's in great shape and you can't beat a Jimmy in the truck world. I know you have to wait on the exhaust, but hey, it is helping your dad out. My folks are both gone, you're blessed you still have him. Do what you can while you can. It's not something you'll ever regret. CAI and exhaust will be there later after your warrenty runs out!

Go for the truck.Low miles,in great shape and a fair price.Take care of it like that and it will go forever. Had over 315,000 on my 99 Silverado.
