Shift--- the Fit, (I happen to own a 2010 Fit Sport as my grocery getter), handles like a go cart, has incredible versatility and gets 36 mpg in town and 40 on the highway. In addition, it is rock solid and reliable. That is why it is on the list. Best is not only about speed.

We'll be back on top when the Z-28 comes out. Every one needs to take what some of these mags say with a grain of salt and move on.

Not cheaper. Comparing my 2SS to an equivalent Mustang, the Mustang was over $1K more.

Lighter true, my biggest knock on the SS. But faster and handle better are splitting hairs. Compare an SS to a non-Brembo Mustang 5.0 and the handling superiority becomes less clear.

The 5.0 is a little faster than an SS, but the difference is not the same as the clear difference between the 2010 SS and 2010 Mustang GT.

I looked hard at both 2011s. Both were comparable.

Liked the SS better. Happy.

I like reading C&D. Other than the boring Automobile, it is the best written car magazine. I will continue to subscribe.

I wasn't implying anything was based on speed, I was implying its gay

10 best requires something significant be changed. HUD wasn't enough. Mustang had two new engines replace a boat anchor and a older V8 and new transmissions.

Since Car and Driver sucks so bad then I guess the corvette shouldn't have been on the list in 2009 and other years before or the many times that caddy has made the list must be a joke too. If you build a good enough car you'll make the list. The camaro just isn't up to stuff this year. Maybe next year.

Shift...I admit the Fit may look a little wierd to us Yanks, but it is a damn fine car, and they sell every one they can make. Absolutely reliable and bullet proof. Sport mode on the auto, like the Camaro, even though the Camaro calls it M. Real paddle shifters and virtually no depreciation. A whole lot slower than the Camaro, however. (A WHOLE LOT!)

IMHO, 2 big reasons why the Camaro's did not make the list:
1. All of the known (hopefully early) issues posted all over the web - kinda scary!
2. GM's bail out (Ford did it own its own).

I like my Camaro SS, but I do admit I feel like I am taking a risk with GM, considering the above.
