Has anyone here seen a Hyundai Genesis? It's a mash-up of a BMW, Mercedes, and Infiniti, and apparently some are dumb enough to think it's a luxury car because of that.
Then again, it only sold maybe 3,000 units last month...and that's including the coupe.

I want to know why the Genesis Coupe and Sedan have the same name? They're completely different cars.
I don't see any similarity between the Sorento and Terrain. I was inside the Sorento and the interior isn't bad, not something that was designed by GM 5 years ago. It's up to today's standards. I still wouldn't buy it though because I'm going to keep supporting American car companies, who knows where I'll find my next job Any company that has a large engineering workforce in the US is OK with me!

I think there only seems to be 2 or 3 basic crossover suv designs. Those that look like the lexus/toyota (rounded, eggy). Those that look like the edge (ummm, edgy?). And those that look like the Envoy (sort of inbetween). I consider myself to be pretty good at taking a quick look at a car and saying "thats a _____" even without seeing badging- but I can't tell these crossovers apart half the time.

I think they look as different as any modern car can look. From the rear I think the Terrain looks just like a new Grand Cherokee though.

![]() We have what I can only assume are the lighting controls and maybe DIC controls (if the Sorento has one). Looks like that was lifted right out of a number of GM vehicles, the one that comes to mind immediately for me is the 2006 Buick Lucerne's DIC controls and heated seat controls. The nav unit looks like the "insert here" headunit that's still in some GM vehicles without an integrated center stack, again, the '06 Lucerne comes to mind. The HVAC controls look like the ones that debuted on the Holden VE Commodore back in 2006, especially in terms of the layout. So we have GM building interiors like this... ![]() And Kia building...well, that.
