Unhappy GM recalling 59,000 2010 Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain CUVs over faulty defrosters

Well we almost had a flawless lauch of the New Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain.
Hopefully this is the first and last recall for the New Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain.

Yep, toyota can recall a million vehicles and still be considered top notch in quality, but when GM recalls 50,000 vehicles, they are automatically considered a Piece of Sh!t. Some people are so blind. My aunt tried to spew this quality bs on me when she drove in for christmas( she has had a Rav4 for 4 years). I just had to ask, then why did you drive the Buick Rendezvous for this long of a trip?? I got no answer. I'm guessing her car isn't running good. And she had to ask the parents for their Buick to make the drive.

Where's Fen, we need the inside scoop.

Urban Truck of the Year FTW!

There is no such things as a flawless launch anyway. Much ado about nothing in my opinion.

This is basically similar to the SS recall we had at launch. It's unfortunate, but it does happen, and I'm glad GM caught it before we had hundreds of thousands of units out there that needed to be brought back to dealers.

I'm glad they catch these things early. At least we are not receiving zip tied floor mats.

I really dont get the whole myth of Toyota - everyone I knew who had a Toyota had to junk it at 40,000 miles, they just dont last, whereas GM products from the 80s and 90s were top notch, quality, long lasting vehicles. It boggles the mind why GM even needed a bailout, I mean nothing says "Im a winner" like a Lumina, Beretta or Cobalt.

This is why I like manual controls, nothing to go wrong. I guess I am just destined to be left behind by technology.

NO, you just prefer to keep your auto's simple, minimal number of computer controled compenets possible. One of the reasons I not getting a Automatic (Tap-Shift, AFM, ect...), or an 2SS package too much to go wrong 15 to 20 years from now. If I could delete Traction and Stability Control and Throttle by Wire, I would.

Sorry to go Off Topic.

I think the good new here is that they have sold 59,000 vehicles in a short time. Our Equinox in on order, we can't wait.

Ford and Toyota had the most recalls in '09.

So a little reflash and you're set? Bring it on -- beat's the crap out of "you may accelerate uncontrollably to your death -- and it's your fault, not ours."
