Hyundai Assurance

I just saw a commerical from Hyundai stating that If you buy a hyundai car, and if you lose your income........you can return your car.....

aint thats some shit

Link

This is something the Big 3 should adopt, when people lose their income and get there car repo its goes on your credit, and when people apply for another line of credit, they are denied, part of the reason why the economy is like this

that's the whole "gotta have it now" mentality. too many people ain't willing to wait until they know they can easily buy things. they jump into stuff just to have it then & screw themselves over because they didn't have the financial stability to afford it.

Completely agree zebra. This is exactly why we are in the economic situation we are in - because people are too stupid to learn how to properly manage their money. "Oh, I don't think I can afford a car. Wait, this company will buy it back from me if I lose my job. Ok, I'll buy one." Nevermind that their financial situation hasn't improved any. Doh!

Some people will be like that no matter what happens. It is good to see that Hyundai has a policy in place to protect customers. I would love to see GM adopt this.

Noooo! That's like telling people "it's ok to be stupid. We'll bail you out."

The fundamental truth, though, is that some people will be that stupid or will get into unforeseeable money trouble. Companies that offer some sort of buyer insurance like this will be able to promote that to buyers who really need or want a new car. It's not a bailout. It is a safety net, and financial safety when things get hard is far better than losing it all over a car. Would you rather lose your new car or your credit rating? I think most people will sacrifice that car they bought a few months ago to keep their rates down in the future.

I'd take the money and the car and trade in for a Camaro. I'm shameless.

I believe Saturn used to have a deal like that. something like 30 days 3000 miles I don't remember exactly. The dealer I talked to the other day said they had to quit it because people would come in "buy" a car and drive it for 30 days and then just return it, so they were ending up with a bunch of 30 day old used cars that were worthless. Basically people were going on a 30 day joy ride for free.
