Hyundai Sonata / Hyundai Genesis

So me and my co-worker were valeting this hyundai sonata rental car earlier...
it had a 3.3 V6.
you're probably thinking "why is this a post about a hyundai?"
well heres why...
We decided to see how fast it was 0-60...(i know, i know, shame on us blah blah)
just before he floored it, I said "i bet anything the tires will squeel" - as sometimes they don't but often times they do...
anyway..
he floored it.
had time to turn his head and look at me, simultaneously thinking "wtf nothings happening"
in which, afterwords, we were both thrown back in our seats as the car jetted off wildly fast.
it was about 6 seconds 0-60.
I know you're probably thinking "6 second 0-60?, thats not That fast"
well considering it's just a regular 4door sedan that isn't meant to be "sporty"
I was quite impressed. especially considering I don't like the thought of an import (not that anything is wrong with imports I just prefer american cars)

what's my point in all this?...I'm willing to bet the new Genesis is freakin insane. even if it isn't up to par for those who prefer the super muscle/sports car appearance, I'm sure if its anything like the sonata we drove, the genesis will surely put up a fight against the V6 'maro.

Engines Avail for Hyundai Genesis:
V8 - 4.6L engine produces 375 hp
V6 - 3.8L producing 306 horsepower (290hp in U.S.)
V6 - 3.3L producing 264 horsepower

Coupe version expected to arrive Spring '09 - and I must say the Coupe looks yummy.
Engines Avail for Hyundai Genesis Coupe:
I4 - 2.0L turbocharged producing 223 hp
V6 - 3.8L producing 312 hp
On regular grade fuel the power outputs will be reduced to 212 hp and 306 hp.
Price -
Few specific details on pricing have been revealed by Hyundai, although rumors suggest the base model turbo-I4 will be released at $19,900 and the V6 model at $25,900

Sorry to sortve, advertise this car on a chevy site, but damn this car is seeming very appealing.
