Point and laugh all you like but hey; my first stick and I never had formal instructions in any way on "Hao doz I lay patch?"

just take it out somewhere and rev it up around 1,800-2,500 and let the cluch out quickly and roll into the throttle, if you keep the RPM's too low it will hook up and you'll just take off. Do I need to come up there and show you how? I'll be happy to do it

Hmm, I wonder what the S stands for.. Not to mention my T/A has the seat touching the rear seats. Only way I could sit with enough room to operate the clutch without dragging my heel on the floor.

lol, actually the ones from 2000 to around 05 I think were actually turbocharged... I'm thinking the S is for Sport or something... They do have better brakes and suspension. I was suprised, the shifter was actually really smooth. I was expecting something like a LS Cobalt that feels like trying to slam a 2x4 through a block of ice.

Hmm, 3K and rolling into the throttle w/ TC off was what netted me the bog n' hook. I know I'm timing it wrong; once I get the calipers adjusted I'll take it out back and try again.

I drove a 97 Z28 M6 last year and had no problem lighting them up... just letting the clutch out too fast at a traffic light made them break loose. If a LT1 will do it, your LS1 should.

It is indeed for sport.

Not necessarily - the LT1 has a vastly different torque curve. Much more low end grunt, which is good for lighting the tires.
