this place at least has some level headed people in it.

and a quick question, you dont think you'll ever find a car more exciting than your camaro? i was/am more of a die hard camaro fan then many of you even could have been.

the first time i saw the car was back when we had access to the cad data of the concept circa 2006 and produced the first images used by a magazine (motor trend if memory serves correctly)...

believe me, i waited/drooled years for the car... and knew more about its development then 99% of the people on this forum.

but, no matter how excited i got when i took her home from my dealer in arizona; it was still less then when i took the gt500 home last week.

things change, i'm still young and in a year at my age; alot can end up being different 12 months later.

totally agree, but at the time the announcement was made... more then 3500 had already been sold. my gamble is that the 2011 will for certain sell out well before the year is over (thus my interest in it, with the new aluminum block, 10 more hp, brembo's, hid's standard, 3:73 gears, and traction control; i knew/hoped it would sell out)
Exactly what mustang forums did you look for? This place is the laughing stock of the majority of muscle car forums. Have you tried svtperformance.com, themustangsource.com, corral.net, moddedmustangs.com or fordgt500.com?

There would be 100 pages because then people would feel the need to call him a "Ricer" and post every VTEC joke they could find.

You ASS-U-ME that I can't afford a GT500... I have a 2010 Camaro and a 2011 Camaro...

I think most of the hate has came after some pretty stupid and brazen remarks... The whole "I know more about Camaro's than 99% of everyone" and the "Mad because you can't afford it" and the "BS story about how he made out on the dealer (when actually the dealer took him) has most probably contributed to some of the hate...

Typical Mustang, I am a god and better than everyone else attitude...

My .02 (since I can't afford a GT500) LOLOLOL

you've got some issues there buddy... and do you really have to misquote me in order to make your post feel relevant? maybe it's a novel concept to you but there are people out there smarter then the average car salesman.

i didn't want a 2010, i wanted the new 2011; and was willing to pay a extra for it.

dont make it out to some crazy screw over, i could have taken my 2k down payment; put 1500 of it on the camaro and used the other 500 on the down payment. would have ended up 0 tacked on due to the camaro and knocked in 500 against their markup.

the big difference is that my 2010 was not worth anywhere near 33,100 (or even 28,100 if you want to view it that way) with 23k miles; especially considering the damage the car had when i left her.

i appreciate your enthusiasm to rain on my little parade though.
Down payment doesn't even come into consideration when you're talking about what you paid for the GT500. lol. No matter how much down payment you had, you still paid $3k over sticker. I'm betting that you could have bought a 2010 GT500 for 5-6k under sticker. Hell we just sold a blue one that had 2k miles on it for about $12k under sticker.

I'm sorry, but paying over sticker for a pony car is dumb. 5500 units is not "limited" either. Not on a $50-60k Mustang it isn't. They built almost 4500 2010 GT500s and you can still find them on dealer lots.

If your Camaro was only worth $28,100 in your mind, it must have been totally trashed out. Our dealership would easily pay at least $30k for a 2SS with 23k miles if it was trashed.

man you guys just get angry at the thought of someone doing better then yourselves...

*sigh*

You might as well get use to these kind of res€ponses because to most of these people think the only company worth wasting money on is GM.

That's not true at all. I already said that the GT500 is great and it's way more car than the 5th gen. It's just stupid to pay over sticker for one.
