Once and for all, I wish someone could explain to me why the Ford guys frequent GM boards? Try talking all that GM trash on a Ford site. Please.

Hate to tell ya all this but first pony car was actually the plymouth barracuda. With that being said ford won over buyers with the role out of the 64 1/2 mustang but plymouth beat them at the tracks. and the camaro came in later just like the cougar.

the barracuda was fugly though.
the Mustang is recognized as the first pony car, just the way it is. The GTO with that 389 is recognized as the first muscle car. just the way it is.
