i think they are just PP rims with the RTR center cap. all four wheels are 19X9.5, and i have not heard of them making anything else. If you enjoy the style you can always have HRE make a set for you (be prepared to pay ALOT for them though).

I'd hope you'd be faster than me, with nearly an identical engine that's tuned and a CAI. Would be kind of embarrassing if you weren't.

I really don't think some of y'all understand what or how v-tec works.

The new stang motor is not a v-tec motor.

ok I have a question that the pros on here can answer...
stock both are close, drivers race with the mustang generally a hair quicker..

ok..so lets say you race both cars from a roll at any given speed, would the mustang still get the edge? or the faster you go would the camaro pull ahead? just curious

usually the car with a higher trap speed will be the one pulling harder.....

If one or the other has a significantly better Cd, that would probably make a difference above 100 mph. I don't know the Cd's of the two cars though.

A suspension set up for the road course does work well at the strip and vise versa.
From what I’ve read the wheels that he has on his car are actually heavier than stock so I believe this might of even hurt him a bit beside this being his 3rd trip to the strip.

I would be more concern with Livernois sand bagging their numbers.
Looking at the 60 ft on the L99 from the fist pass to the last, someone has some explaining to do because something just doesn’t add up. No way is a CAI going to drop your 60’s like that.

From the description of the video:
The weather was hot and humid with air temps of 82deg (Typical FL summer weather). Behind the seat was Lethal Performance's own Derek Perez. At this point Derek had only driven the car on the street for a short cruise so we knew it would take a few runs for him to get comfortable with the car and used to shifting with the new 6 speed setup.

The 0-130 mph numbers I have seen from both cars so far have the camaro almost 2 seconds ahead at 130mph. I am sure Evil Twin will chime in to disregard the given test...but it is what it is. I find it hard to believe they could mess up the test by two seconds. Even if it were a 1 second difference that is A LOT when traveling 130mph...do the math.

Not very close...even 1 second would probably be 8 plus car lengths at 130mph.

Depends what review you read as to which car is trapping higher. From the looks of it so far the mustang has a slight trap advantage. 109-111 for the camaro. 110-112 for the mustang seems to be the norm thus far with private owners.

No reply Evil Twin?

I am disappointed lol

Also...I tried YOUR calculator with a 3.73 geared 2011 mustang gt m6 and 255/40/19 tires. 27' height. 1.32 drive ratio for 4th gear. 7000 rpm redline

Guess what...114mph.

I tried my calculator with the 2011 GT and it came out to 110.3.

Seriously though...not being a smart ass...am I missing something here?

I would like some input when you get a chance.

The test you are referring to (C&D) had the mustang running 0-100 almost a full second (.8x) slower than most of the other tests and it also happens to be the slowest 1/4 and trap speed of any of the magazine tests for the mustang and one of the fastest of any magazine tests for the camaro... So yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if evil twin said something.

Even carrying the slower speed to 100...the car is still falling behind regardless.
