So let me get this straight. You joined camaro5.com just to post (with your first post, no less) that you will be buying a mustang? Lol! WTF? Who are you and why would we care?

What clutch issue are you talking about? Mine is perfect.

Good call.

BTW...my clutch is great.
i thought about it but didnt feel like doing the math, but i was interested in what part that two seconds had happened and it looks like they missed typed it or something. Or maybe the Mustang just stops accelerating once it hits the 120mph mark (doubt it)

I still think from a roll the Mustang has an advantage though because of its excellent transmission gearing there is a greater chance that it will start off in the "perfect" gear.

As far as clutch issues? Do you read your own forum?
I am also on mustangforums.com, havnt seen issues yet. Ive read one post where someone mentioned some clutch warranty work, and if you stalk me enough, you will see I just joined there as well and have 1 entire post to proove it.
Our car has been out for a year and the 5.0 a few months. Type in google 2011 mustang problems and you will find problems popping up. It will take a while to see any major problems until the car has been out for longer.
Just because some people have clutch issues does not mean its a horrible car. Just like you said you have lemon problems with your lexus. I am sure the mustang will have a few problems. If it doesn't then that is awesome for ford.

Oh,... well your post said I am going with the 5.0.... Whatever makes you happy is the car you should get, but I think that you some guys are going to say something when you came in here didn't even post an introduction of yourself in the forums and automatically say shit about the camaro..

is it really putting down the camaro if he just stated facts found here on this site?? its not like he came on here and said "im going with the 5.0 cuz the camaro is sucky!", the clutch problems apparently worry him enough to affect his decision.

I don't think he is putting it down. Out of the 100,000 camaro's sold only so many have this problem. I am not saying that the mustang will have this problem, but once there are 100,000 mustangs sold we can see what problems arise. You have been an the forums a lot longer then a lot of guys. So I think people are going to show you a little more respect, but there are so many people who just jump in this thread (FROM BOTH SIDES) and talk about something they have no clue about. Most people on this site have not owned a 2011 mustang and most people on this forum have not owned a camaro.

I'm not angry I have an opinion like you, but I own a camaro and have more experience with them. I am just saying to keep your options open and don't let one problem sway your decision. Not once did attack you for the choice your making. If you look at this thread there are people from both sides being girlie, attacking people for their choice. I never attacked you for your choice I just put MY OPINION in about the clutch problem. I have owned an SS and I have not had a clutch problem. So I am telling you that not everyone is having the problem. You are getting hurt because I am telling you that the mustang might have problems in the future. Stop whining and go to a different forum if you please. If you don't like my opinion I don't have to like yours.

I am done with this thread every time I am in here the ridiculous comments made just make me laugh

Good I am glad that you can decide what car you want. I know there are people post problems about the clutch, I hope they get it fixed. Have fun with your whichever car you chose.
Let me reiterate what I said though. All I was saying was to look at the options and see that problems might arise. You said that the forum was to girlie?!(before you edited your post) Is our opinion girlie. Just because someone thinks its nice for you to introduce yourself to a forum and make yourself known is not girlie. This is my last post i am done.
Enjoy your choice, I am sure you will have fun with whatever you choose.

Howdy. Been reading for a while, but never joined. Sorry my first post is going to end up in this thread. I do not intend to post much, and I certainly didn't really desire to be part of a pissing contest.

I'm partial to the Mustang, and at some point down the road, will likely buy a 2011 5.0. I like the Camaro, and hope it does well (glad it is doing VERY well so far), but for a variety of reasons, I have no current plans to purchase one.

Now that this is out of the way...

Those that live in glass houses should not throw stones.....The 2011 GT is having clutch issues, too. Two of the performance shops that have been testing them have had to replace the original clutches, though they were being SERIOUSLY abused, and thus it should come as no surprise. However, a "normal" owner also had issues, and has even gotten Ford's attention - which is a good thing:

I will go ahead and put a good spin on the thread...

You guys should all be REALLY happy that domestic muscle is back on top...
If F&F nutjobs would have had their way, we would all be talking about Evo's, SI's, WRX right now.

You gotta give props to Ford and Chevy...even Dodge for placing the emphasis back where it belongs...in a domestic muscle car.

Yea so what if your evo is turbo'd...my car can beat it with a naturally aspirated engine. Minus the 3 foot wing and a fiberglass body kit one inch off the ground. Wheres the nitrous???

...wait...ok fine, I suffered from a year or two of import dementia...but it wasn't my fault! I quickly sold it and got into a mustang back then...

Yes my friends, the import scene has taken a substantial hit from both chevy and now our fellow neighbors at Ford.

Kudos...
