well

heres the RPM calculator:

http://www.csgnetwork.com/multirpmcalc.html

tires:28.7"
Transmission gear: 1.43
Rear Gear: 3.45
MPH:115

RPM:6642rpm

MPH: 114

RPM:6584rpm
according to many websites 6600rpm is where the rev limiter is set. If it isnt then the calculation is wrong.

just a couple sites for reference.

As I said in that thread, it was my last post on the topic and you just proved again that arguing with a stump is just that. No need to waste further time.

I posted the numbers and facts. You know as-well-as I do I never stated a 9 MPH gain was feasible on a non-modded LS3 . If you bothered to read, I said if you could get the car to cross the 1/4 in 4th at a certain RPM, you were looking at 119MPH. Stop putting words in peoples mouth. I believe when I speak for the majority of folks here, it is getting old and tiresome. You have no other goal on this site outside of instigating conflict and trying to point out how much better the Mustang is over the Camaro. I have owned/raced several Mustangs over the years and currently have a GT500. You won't find me posting on Mustang or GT500 specific forums bragging to everyone how much better the Camaro is. Just a complete lack of class and it is shameful for a fellow Mustang owner to be here doing just that.

Back to your post -
If you want to run your car through the traps in 3rd at redline, then have at it. 99% of the rest of us will be focusing on 4th gear hence needing more gear to cross the 1/4 mile at optimum RPM.

This will be my last post on the subject. I laid it out for everyone to see. Choose what you may with it.
Do the math ? Are you a mathematician ? I am. With any reasonably designed modern transmission, lowering the rear end gears buys you a harder LAUNCH (assuming you have traction to use it). That might lower your ET, but trap speed is mostly launch invariant. That's why it's such a good indicator of horsepower.

Maybe if you throw some more numbers out it'll make you faster.

Seriously, numbers are numbers. Anyone who has been to the track knows that.

It looks cool in that video, not a fan of the blue but the car looks good lowered and with those wheels.

Come to my track. Worst track prep in history, 95-100F and 1200ft.

That new V-tec stang really makes the old 4.6 and 5.4 motors look like boat anchors.

Hard to tell what you're getting at.... but I'm already faster than you.

If you don't like math, why post corrected stats...they're lame.
