That's because we aren't. I mean sure, that part of it sucks. But it wouldn't be possible without the people making the choice to sneak in illegally.

I care about innocent victims of crimes. Those are true victims. The ones who make the choice to commit an illegal act subject themselves to any potential consequence of that act. In the case of illegal immigrants, there are many consequences they could face...but they don't care. Just like they don't care about out laws.

Enough hijacking...we now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

I live in the Phoenix metro area. Great city. To be honest, both Phoenix and Tucson are really hot July-September. So, if you buy a house, make sure you have a swimming pool. (It is a dry heat though.)

As a fellow Camaro owner, I would love for you to join our Camaro club - Arizona All Gens. We have in excess of 100 cars in our club (both Phoenix and Tucson chapters). We have our own social group here at Camaro5.

Good Luck!

Thanks guys, will let you know how it turns out, but looking more and more like Tucson for us. Job move and they want Tucson. Should be a healthy learning curve !

I grew up in the midwest. Got an offer in a town about 70 miles Southeast of Tucson (Sierra Vista) in '86. Been out here ever since. Tucson is a bit crowded for my tastes, but it is nice and I visit often. Hot in the summer, but the winter weather makes up for it. You just have to pretend like summer is winter - its kinda down time or you adapt and do things early or late. Lots of outdoor activity here and the rain will rarely keep the car in the garage. Some great curvy roads if you want to take some road trips to the mountainous areas up North or in New Mexico.

If you do move there you have to try Lil Abners Steakhouse. I was on vacation in Tucson last week and had dinner there. Not much to look at but, the food is awesome!

Done deal, moving to Tucson, got the job. Need to sell the house here first, so should be several months before we head that way.

Have always lived on the east coast and may be able to push for alternate location, like Phoenix. Any input much appreciated.
dunno if this helps...

I'm a born and raised Mid-Western'r (23yrs), and spent some time in the south east (7yrs). West coast (8yrs) is definately the place to be if you don't mind a little ground shaking from time-to-time. Aside from all the politics (which you will have everywhere)... the West Coast is beautiful year round! I've had my fill of... Humidity, Rain, Snow, Thunderstorms, Tornados, Hurricanes, Blizzards!!!!!!!!!
I'll take a free rollar coaster ride from mother earth over those, any day!

As for specifically Tucson, I got nothing. Best I can do is say that I drove through Phoenix on the way to LA, and I've heard some really great things about Scottsdale!

Good luck!
