All those aftermarket rods are based of BBC rod journals and rod width ( there are no Scat or Eagle BBF rods just BBC rods you grind your Ford crank to fit)
youre on crack if you dont think eagle or scat makes rods in the 2.5" journal size. You definately need to get up to date! A ford tech that doesnt know ford stuff....hmm anyways a lot of BBF racers have been putting out incredible amounts of power with the SCAT brand stuff they have an excellent reputation especially given their pricepoint. Eagle eh just needs more attention before assembly.

You were talking about stroker motors and all the rods you Ford guys put in your stroked BB Fords are Chevy based rods. your probably right on the BBF racers not breaking Scat and Eagle's rods , cause they'll never make enough power to hurt them. Last i looked this was a Camaro site, i happen to drive and race Chevy's and Ford pays for it all. I guess i can troll on the Ford forums tell them what junk ive worked on today, and how much better my Chevelle's and Camaro are, just like you do here. Whenever your ready to run your superior BBF against any of my Chevelle's let me know.

now the rods might happen to be the same size chevys use but if they were really chevy based they would fall apart at the 500hp level.....and im not trolling. I posted a link with FACTS about how the BBF is just a better built and better engineered engine than the 454 (and it should be, it came out after and was designed for heavier duty use to begin with). now ill stop out of respect for the moderator.

How are those facts? The site is for a BBF engine builder, go to a BBC engine builders site and his opinion will be totally opposite. They use BBC 366 and 427"s in 2 ton trucks, hardly underengineered/flimsy as you call them.

I called you out with my inferior BBC, when you man up and want to bring that BBF to Vegas to get terminated let me know.

Apologies to the moderator, this is my last post in this thread.

Want me to just split this thread so you two can keep your Chevy vs Ford argument going?

while lsx engines are great, with new head and cam technologys moving over to the older bbc and sbc sector, they are achieving some great things too. guys are getting bbc's into the 7-800+ hp n\a on pump gas. it's pretty cool stuff.

The new blocks are technical marvels and way advanced, but the old school BBs are just so cool looking (and the torque is killer).
