Let the people who want to debate what some driver did, in some car, in some magazine compared to another one continue on. All that really matters is what you can do in your car. Just because Evan Smith can drive a stock 2010 GT500 into the 11's does not mean I will ever be able to do so, therefore, whatever stock time I am able to achieve is all I have to work with.
I agree with this.

I wish the 2011 GTs were on the street so we could get some privately owned cars and times.

Yes. I have seen it said here before. But not nearly as many times as ive seen it on pro-mustang boards obviously. The consensus for some is pretty much that the 5.0 has nothing to worry about N/A to N/A vs the LS3.

It is usually to the effect of the 5.0 design being so amazing that it can overcome all the displacement advantage the LS3 has...seen it posted hundreds of times all over the net.

One memorable post on here I recall from one of our very beloved and daily breed of trolls, was a post featuring the infamous new video of the camaro losing to the mustang (posted for the 100th time....literally) accompanied by a suggestion for us to pull off our stock heads and replace the cam to compete....and thats just the beginning.

And yes we will see more when the 11 Stang hits the tracks, but considering the 12.9-13.1 the Camaro has gotten from them is a pretty good match for the average LS3 times (maybe even quicker than alot are seeing), I'd say this is a damned good indication of what we will be seeing when they get in the hands of owners.

I conceded the 11 GT, in that review, was the quicker car.

I agree though, once these things hit the streets, then the true story will be told. As will when the 2011 MY Camaro comes out, and hits the streets. Until then, just more bench racing.

Also, I hope it really is that close of a competition, will only serve to improve both cars, and make track days very fun!

yeah, I left Dodge out until they actually do something, lol. Sorry.

I don't get all the whining comments about biased reviews, it's only a few tenths difference, etc...

How is this not a good thing that Mustang has finally raised the stakes? Is there really any doubt that Chevy will not respond? Doesn't it make sense there will at the very least be new performance axle ratios offered for the '11 Camaro?

Chevrolet worked long and hard to bring this version of the Camaro to the street, with the main goal of being the pony car king, and they're not about to just surrender that title after only 1 year of production...

Competition is good for both Ford and Chevy camps - and even the Dodge boys are in the modern muscle conversation now. Good times!

I'm hoping for gear options to be avail. on 2011...find out in the morning hopefully. It'd be nice to go to the dealer with a part number and get some 3.73s or 4.10s. LOL.

Motor Trend, is as two faced as a car mag can get!
And talk about bias!
Why would I wan't to read a review of the Camaro, from some Ford fanboy perspective?
That's what I have YouTube for LOL!
