How? My understanding is that the SLP is a factory backed tuner program. Is it not?

So either educate, or you stop it. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, no biggie. But don't say I'm wrong and don't show me how. So???????

Its sad but true, the Mustang may be currently enjoying its time in the lime light but what will happen when the big bad z28 makes its debut??? This new muscle car era is AWESOME. Its reborn..I love it, and if I had it my way I'd cram that article up MT ass..

SVO, SVT, etc.. are all parts of Ford. It is their in house performance team. Much the same as the people that would have done the Z06 and ZR1.

SLP is not owned by GM nor are their cars sold as GM vehicles with GMs warranty.

Okay. I was under the understanding that the SLP cars were backed by GM warranty. My bad.

According to a C&D Video: This comes with 19" wheels and non-brembo brakes. Brembos alone cost $1700 and that too just for the FRONTS.

Not sure what the 20" upgrades will cost... Anyways I would guess that the Mustang would be at least $1k when specked out to what a 1SS Base Camaro has.

My point being when people say that the Mustang is cheaper than the Camaro, that's because it comes with less features!
Let's not forget that it's a light weight wheel and better tire that comes with the Brembos. The package also comes with a more aggressive performance option that can be selected by the driver. Think of it as a setting between full traction control and stability assist and all the way off.

Unless I'm mistaken the 1SS does not come with leather so the GT Coupe at $30495 is the correct price to compare the two. The interior has the same material except for the cloth seats. The 2SS is a better comparison to the GT premium at $33695.

1996-2002 there was no ss vin number. There was an RPO code that indicated it was to be an ss. Hence you could call SLP with your vin# to get your SS build number.

The Z28 better come with more than 556hp. And if they keep hyper-exploding pistons in it it would really suck bad.

Umm if it weights the same as the SS and comes with 556hp, that will be enough to do with the GT500 which is roughly the same weight as an SS.

So what are you trying to say?

not with the new aluminum engine. -200 lbs will really help its performance.............. now if only ford could put a proper tire on it and fix those traction issues.

When the Z28 hits the market I am sure Ford will make the TVS blower package standard, as it does not void your warranty as is. They rate a GT500 with this package at 605hp but realistically the owners are getting 570-585rwhp with this package installed.

They already 'unveiled' that engine and it saved 100lbs. Which is equal to .1 in the quarter. Whoopdee....even though it doesn't matter because the tires can stay stuck to the ground enough to use it.

Starting with the new GT500 you can get Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar G: 2 tires on it. This is the first application of these tires so I can't comment on how good or bad the tire might be.
