The 750hp Super Snake would be Ford's tuner Mustang. Think of the GT500 like previous Cobras.

And yes the ECU in the stang has different tables for different fuels.

Take that edmunds dyno test that netted 395rwhp, a ringer I am sure, but they said it took 7 dyno pulls to get a repeatable number. They said every pull the ECU was trying to get as much power out of the 91 octane gas as possible.

Does the Mustang have two octane maps in it's programming? One where it'll detune the car to run the lower octane? If not, then the lower octane in the Mustang won't hurt it as much as the Camaro, which does have two octane maps in it's programming.

SVO? you mean SVT, and how is SLP equivalent to SVT? Fords building = SVT's building, fords assembly line = SVT's assembly line SVT = FORD lol

Weren't the previous Cobra's SVO cars? Still tuners, IMO, but I see what you are saying. I think it's still apples to apples to compare the SLP cars to the SVO ones.

That's the first I've heard of that. I didn't pay attention to the Edmund's dyno because of the way they also butchered the GT500 one.

SVT, SVO, my bad..same thing different smell.

SVT = Ford tuner. SLP=GM tuner, even if it's not in the same building.

If the SLP car came with factory GM warranty I might could agree the comparison being apple to apples.

SVO, SVT, etc.. are all parts of Ford. It is their in house performance team. Much the same as the people that would have done the Z06 and ZR1.

SLP is not owned by GM nor are their cars sold as GM vehicles with GMs warranty.

Chevy use to ship unfinished Camaros to SLP for SS branding and parts. But not anymore. You would think you would know that seeing as you drive one.
