That's IT. A PROBATION. I watched that race. It could have gotten really ugly if Keselowski's car got into the fencing or worse. What a joke. PROBABTION. He should have gotten far worse. He was clearly GUILTY.

He should've been parked for at least 1 race given that he:
a) he wasn't really sure Keselowski wrecked him in that race in the first place b) missed Keselowski on the first (?) attempt to spin him on the previous lap c) did punt him only to have Keselowski's car go airborne "Unintentionally" at 190 mph, considering average take-off speed of a jet is 160-180mph - talk about "aero-push" d) entering pit road the wrong way essentially thumbing his nose at NASACR e) explained his "a,b,c or d" logic favoring "d" which was to take Keselowski out at Atlanta I've tried to like Carl but there have been far too many incidents that makes him more dangerous than some of the other usual suspects in NASCAR. Finally - when NASCAR said "...have at it boys..." they're hands were tied to this probation. So the precendant now is intentionally spin/flip a car and get probation...just what the sport needed. My response:

I think that is total BS. They should fine him and suspend him for at least 4 races. He could have seriously hurt Brad Keselowski when he turned him. I know he did not mean to flip him, but he did turn him intentionally. Revenge is not for the race track..

It looks like Mike Helton is a Carl Edwards fan, he should have been suspended, fined and had points taken away, good move Nascar, glad I'm a drag racing fan.

That's bull. They needed to make an example of him that you CANT do that with these cars, they turn over too easy. Bristol or Martinsville is one thing, tracks where you're hitting around 200 mph is a totally different beast. NASCAR didn't suspend him only because of the attention this whole thing is bringing. How many people are going to tune in this week JUST because of that? "BK vs. Edwards part 2".

Edwards, Kyle bush, and several others need to understand that they are driving around in 100,000.00 weapons that somebody else pays for. All the while they get paid millions of dollars to be "role models" and this is how they respond.
I would love to see any one of them spend a week following a regular guy around, and actually earning a living

If they were both fighting for the same position, would your thoughts be any different??

Looking at it from a network point of view: NASCAR without wrecks would be a lot more boring, this guy tends to cause wrecks, and probably boosts the ratings. Therefore there is probably some pressure to keep him racing to see what he'll pull out next.
Now that being said, personally I feel this guy should just be told to sit and watch from his living room the rest of the season, and he can come back and try again next season. Any further incidents like this should result in a 'thanks, but no thanks' from NASCAR (no more racing for him).

+1I know Brad has pissed off quite a few Nationwide and Cup guys by wrecking them, but IMHO, he is young, and a bit inexperienced, and unlike Carl, Brad 'wrecked' people going for a win or advancing his position, similar to what others have done and are still doing... Dale Sr was the ultimate 'INTIMIDATOR' because he would wreck someone or 'move them' to win, and didn't care about the consequences to himself or the other driver... I was a huge Dale Sr fan, but I also think the reason that Dale Jr hasn't won as many races as his Dad or others did is because he races clean, for the most part and therefore it affects where he finishes... I don't believe Brad has ever INTENTIONALLY wrecked someone...i could be wrong... ![]() Carl is just getting nastier and nastier each year...he's not 'OPIE', the good kid anymore... It's hard to believe he is related to Kenny Schrader(Ken and Carl's dad are cousins)...I'm sure Kenny would like to 'smack Carl upside the head' for his outrageous stunt last Sunday.....

![]() Carl didn't try to 'move Brad', he turned his wheel towards Brad to WRECK Brad, that's the difference...Carl wouldn't have cared if his car got wrecked, since he was already 156 laps down...
