Coupes (2 door) + sport variants = attract younger buyers. And I also hate those ridiculous 4 door coupes.

Lordstown is capable of building up to six body styles...therefore a coupe could still be in the works. Holden's working on a hatch.

Actually, I'd prefer it if they went with small suicide doors instead of the current 'fast back sedan' look

I am not a fan of 4 door coupes either....Coupes should have 2 doors. Period.
Unfortunately coupes are a tough sell for most people. I absolutely love the CTS coupe and would have gotten one over the sedan if they were available when I got mine, but the truth is most people won't and they will sell well at first.....then as much as I hate to say it they will struggle. GM struggles selling coupe versions of cars if you look at the numbers, so it makes for a hard sell when they are planning and how much investment it takes to make it happen. BTW, Mike they are speculating in the paper in Youngstown that they will be hiring a third shift for the Cruze...Which would be great news for the area (My hometown...Even if I haven't lived there for some time). |
