Chevy Cruze and Buick Verano

The Chevy Cruze and a small Buick (rumored to be named 'Verano') would make perfect "production mates" for GM's Lordstown, OH plant.

GM outta focus on sedan and coupe versions of these cars.

Cruze and Verano could be offered with 1.4L and the 2.0L (in Cruze SS and Verano GS versions) ECOTEC turbo four-bangers - hopefully sourced from GM's Tonawanda, NY plant.

Bring 'em both GM! And those sport coupe versions just beg for the 2.0L Turbo.

Oh, and GM...be prepared to run both those plants 6 days per week @ 3 shifts per day for awhile.

the small buick does seem nice. im liking buick more everyday. idk if i want the regal or this now. the "verano" would be attractive to me because it might cost less the then regal. the regal gs is so bad ass though.

The Cruze isnt bad looking for an economy car. The Buick version will probably offer up more creature comforts and still be a good mileage car.

Not really a rumor anymore regarding the Verano nameplate.

Rumor about a possible 4-door coupe variant of the Cruze...

I'm kinda in the same boat. Regal is looking nice but a Verano coupe with AWD might be nicer. Buick is really appealing to me right now, as is the rest of the GM lineup. Can't wait to see the new Vettes and Z28.

I hate the idea of a 4 door coupe

Sorry. GM doesn't seem too keen about building a coupe. Not saying it can't happen.

This is a four-door coupe.

Similar roofline/body style to a coupe with an extra set of doors tacked on.

Thats exactly why I don't like them. They are 4 door cars with a roofline similar to a coupe, so they get referred to as 4 door coupes.

I'd have to see whatever design is being proposed for a four-door coupe before forming an opinion. It could be a good thing, as a lot of people aren't fans of the high roofline of the Cruze.
