I honestly love all muscle cars, regardless of the make.

it's natural to be competitive. I've owned Mustangs in the past and love all brands of cars. Now I'm more of a Chevy Guy. Corvette, Camaro, and Suburban. Remember, no matter how much mods you put into your ride there is always going to be someone who's faster. Just enjoy your ride no matter what brand but have respect for other cars. But a little smack talking never hurt anyone.

We don't hate Camaro owners, we just see them as the woman who sticks with a loser year after year, except the years he was in jail, and won't even consider that she should dump his dumb a$$. In actuallity, I love all fast cars, and the one willing to spend the most will typically go the fastest.

This is funny, cause the 5.0 has been in development since 2007. Not to mention, 2010-2011 has been a major change in drivetrain for Ford in SEVERAL vehicles.

I seriously am not sure, but I don't even think Chevy has a competitor to the 2010 Tarus show v6 putting out over 350hp. Ford also built the new 5.0 ground up starting in 2007. GM has been working with the LS series for quite sometime to my knowledge.

Lets not also forget that the Mustang is an iconic car world wide and with the 2011 coming out it will be the cars 47th year in production.

The camaro is great and cool, but it is the one playing catch up if anyone. And let me tell you, Chevy did a hell of a job.

Doubtful, how do you expect a 300lb heavier car making pretty much the same wheel horsepower on average to match or beat a 12.4 stock time? 12.3X from a stock camaro?? Two tenths difference came from a run in a negative DA correct? you can have all the time you want the numbers are against you.

People going against logic in favor of their personal choice of a car is what creates arguments, like whats quoted above.

Just saying it's possible. I guess you're a firm believer in the "same day and same time" pass. (Hate to bring this up, but it's a point that no one can ignore) So in that case the GT500 is only .1 seconds quicker than the 2010 SS (Definitely misleading). Obviously, same day testing can be just as misleading as comparing the best times of two cars. Oh and it's barely under 200lbs difference, so two tenths is where it might stay.

I once enjoyed my '87 5.0 GT 5-speed....after adding nitrous, losing the 4 cats & restrictive exhaust system, and bracing the chassis. Its a case of blondes vs. brunettes, and a little bleach can go a long way to change the odds.

I am comparing the best times of two cars, just mentioning the Camaros run was in very favorable -1600 DA.

The quickest GT500 time stock is 12.25 with a slow 2.11 60 foot time... But if you want to pick a random tire spinning magazine time then ok. Back to the original topic, the Cobra weights 3665. Hot Rod said their Camaro SS weighed 3950. Is that a typo/incorrect? It was in here, 5th paragraph, first sentence. http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/e...ons/index.html

American made? The Camaro is made in Canada.
