That is just what DODGE lovers need (another $2500.00 to $3000.00) more for a car that is already $8000.00 to $9000.00 higher than than the SS for the same power and can't even get 18mpg. DUMB!!!!! That's Dodge doing what they do!!!

The price is actually a lot closer once you make the SS even remotely comparable to the features an SRT comes with stock, and the camaro doesn't offer many features the SRT has at all, and besides, all of this is optional anyways. The R/T is only 3/10s slower in the 1/4 mile than the SS and starts a few hundred LESS.

I don't believe that is correct. The R/T is on par with the 2010 Mustangs.

Do not want.

Appearance wise, IMHO the car was damn near perfect. The scoop I could probably live with, though I like the one MrIcky posted better. The spoiler however....ugh. First of all its cookie cutter. I've seen a million spoilers almost identical, most of them on cars I don't like.

At any rate an appearance package isn't going to help sell this car. The biggest gripes that I can remember hearing off the top of my head is the look of the interior and the performance numbers.

i'll take it all, but the scoop. make the scoop functional or put on a different style hood, and i'm sold on the design

Hehe, I actually like the 2nd gens better than the first gens- particularly these with the wide open grille and long hood and minimal barely useful for anything but accents bumpers.

The R/T autos are running pretty consistant 13.1-13.3s, they are quicker than the 6 speeds (which is what all the rags test). Also I want to see what an R/T with the STP (with 3 season tires instead of all seasons) runs.

You have lost your mind!!!! They are no where near the price of an SS with the big Hemi engine in them!!! The first thing I notice is the $3500.00 gas guzzler tax. That is only because Dodge can't get the mileage where it needs to be. Only 3/10 slower????

rt doesnt have the gas guzzler tax....

and at least from the 08s i remember it was less than half the 3500 you claim....might have changed now.

someones mad

back on topic............dodge hit it out of the ballpark going retro...and they will continue that trend....this package you do not have to buy....there is plenty of aftermarket hoods accessories and cheaper than from mopar. the camaro did well going modern and dodge did well going retro.....hence all the retro hood and accessories. have a nice day

oh noes, not another challenger argument. It's a 1700 gas guzzler tax btw. But that's beside the point.
