Even our recruits are calling this class 'ridiculous'... and we expect to pull in at least 1 more 5* (Jordan Hicks OLB) before its all said and done...

EVERY recruiting haul has the chance of being the greatest. Will they play good together? Only time will tell. And there have been top 3 recruiting classes never do anything before. Way too much stock is put into these rankings. OU is rarely toward the top but overacheives with the players they get. It's all about coaching after you get the players.

BTW, Jay Leno cracked me up. He said, Alabama needs to get an academic program that the football team could be proud of.

You might want to wait a bit before celebrating. After all, Alabama has had to vacate Bowl victories as recently as 2005 (Cotton Bowl) for NCAA violations.

Hey I heard that Alabama had their championship put in question... Apparently because some guy on a camaro forum complained So the NCAA finally took action....

The contacted the Moderators of that forum and asked if they would Ban the guy for not getting over it.

No your not following. This has the potential to be the highest rated recruiting class of all time.... Their ratings are applied based on next-level potential... kind of like Sam Bradford getting a good rating

And between you and me I think we got most of the big namers because of HOW WELL they play together.... Anyone watch the UnderArmour All American Game? All but one Gator played on the Black Defense... and the black defense forced 4 ints (all by Gator recruits) 4 sacks (3 by gators) and they dominated the white team. Oh and the kid we had on the other team had an int as well lol. The two big combine games are the Army All American, and UnderArmour.... and the Gators had the overwhelming MVP from both games...

Kids see those other kids out there making plays, and they think... wow... I want to go where he is going. So kids can recruit for a school nearly as good as the school itself... So this year's recruiting efforts have really snowballed. Now from what I am hearing is we might end up with one of USC's 5* WR's... and that would really push this over the top.

BTW there is a big difference between a top 3 recruiting class, and among the best of all time. Think Miami 2002. Miami 1990. USC 2004.

I'm excited to see what our new NFL DC can do with all this talent... rumor is he is bringing the dolphins 3-4 blitz packages from the NFL...

Willie Martinez is definitely on the short list of people we are looking into as a DB coach... but to be honest we aren't 100% sure that we are even going to hire one.

Edit: I don't think its an NCAA thing, otherwise everyone would know about it. Those guys can't take a shit without tipping off ESPN.


If its a private internal investigation it is probably not as big of a deal, and you can bet they will do everything they can to keep it under wraps. I'll talk to my guys about it, but if its not going to be made public they might just clam up until after NSD.
