zeus, good summary. I want MW2 and guess this would be a good time to make the switch

Only thing I don't like about the playstation is their controllers. They have remained mostly the same since the original system came out with a few added buttons and some added functionality. I think Sony has woken up a bit since the launch of the system, but I was quite shocked when I heard the controllers didn't include force feedback (vibration). Bit of a step backwards there. Anyway, they have it now so they obviously learned from that error. But to me the 360 controller is by far the most comfortable and ergonomic of the big 3 systems.

Now, all that being said, after seeing some of the games PS3 is coming out with... I'm lookin at getting one eventually too.

I said the same thing... until I got a PS3.



The new ones are wireless and have everything the Xbox controllers have. And even though its 100% up to the user, I am now more comfortable with the PS controller than I am with my Xbox controller.

COD4 is probably the best game ever. I definitely like the tweaks made to MW2 except a few things.

pro's
-juggernaut & martydom now death streaks.
-more kill streaks
-maps have more routes
-thermal scope
-akimbo (pistols/smg's)
-maps are anti noobtube from game start
-no more NADE spam
-perks (bling, scavenger, ninja, CB'd)

con's
-alot of glitches
-1887 akimbo (something needs to be changes, take away the akimbo or low the damage)
-camouflage is to good. (Its stupid when you walk into an office and someone is crouched in a corner and you cant see them.)
-FMJ doesnt work for crap, but people without fmj can shoot through cement.
-getting knifed after shooting them 3-4 times in the chest.
-hip shots with the Barrett 50 cal. (1 shot from the hip will put you on ur ass)

well, I went ahead and got the XBOX version, I played a friends PS3 for a while and decided it's not worth the hassle to swap yet..I didn't have much play time with MW2 yesterday but I did notice it seems a lot harder to read the text and maps. I'm sure I will have plenty of time to tweak the contrast

I spent a good deal of time thinking about how the Camo was BS because of how effective it was. But then I got to thinking.... and I think it's actually PERFECT and the reason that people think its too good is because of how bad it was before. In real life, if there is a guy camping with dark clothes in a dark corner of the room, and you weren't looking directly at him when you walked in, you'd never see him. Now if he was on a lit up part of the room, he'd stand out, just like in real life, but they made it when you can blend into your surroundings which is basically what Camo is. The old COD's, a guy could be on the other side of the map standing in heavy cover but he still stood out like a sore thumb.... ESP if he moved.

Yeah the Camo isn't a CON at all, its doing what it suppose to do...and FMJ works fine for me, but other than that, I agree with everyone you posted. IGN had a article that qouted IW that they will be patching the 1887s soon, and fixing some other glitches.

There should be a counter for dark rooms, like nvg's.
I don't know how many times I've walked into a room, looked around only to get shot in the back by a dude laying prone in a pile of trash. :/

has anyone prestiged? I did it twice and I think that's enough. I like having my fav kits

I like my kit's too much. I'm maxed out in levels, but I don't want to go back


COD4/5 I prestige'd 8-9 times each.... just don't have that urge here. It'd be different if they offered new weapons/perks for high levels of prestige.

that would be awesome Zeus if they offered a different item for each prestige level. i really like the prestige titles and emblems you can earn though

and they do offer a thermal scope to counter the dark corners for every assault rifle and sniper rifle, although its kinda hard going into a building looking through your scope lol

Well, the thermal zooms in like the sniper scope. Which pisses me off because I'm qualified on a thermal sight at work (armed nuclear security) and our thermals don't have a magnification. Haha

I usually flashbang a room now. If I get a hit indicator, I know to go in gun blazing. 
