![]() I miss that car. Should have traded it in for a newer model. Loved the way it felt, drove and everything. If it had a little bit more power, it would have been the BALLS!! One of my favorite cars that I have owned.

Personally I think the Impala and Monte Carlo were/are extremely visually unappealing.

I miss the monte. It'll come back someday. Heck, GM will bring anything back if they think it will make some money

As of you who don't like the Monte Carlo, all I can say is you've never driven on. They are a joy to drive and are a very solid car. Great car to travel in for long distance. They were the best cars produced in 1970. I do agree with some of you that from 73-77were hogs. JMO.

I hate the look of the last Monte's. Only thing I liked was the back end. Performance wise, they did their job well enough, though it was pretty much a niche role. I would rather have a Grand Prix coupe than a Monte

The 70-72 were beautiful cars. I owned a 71, and a 84 Super Sport. I loved that car. Also, the Monte Carlo nameplate is the winningest nameplate in nascar history as well. Too bad we can't have a RWD big coupe...guess we settle for a super stylish 5th gen Camaro instead!
Not a bad trade...

cheaper and a little more efficient. Also makes for better overall vehicle packaging. Plus the general population has been convinced that rwd is absolutely horrible in the snow.
