Hmmmm, interesting. Did you have FMJ on the RPD? Will have to give this a try at some point. And someone else brought up that point about switch weapons (when I accidentally bust the claymore out), hadn't thought of that and will give it a try

I was blasting people with the light machine guns, and it didnt seem to do anything, I watched a guy get shot point blank with the 50cal sniper rifle several times, at the prerelease at gamestop and it didnt damage the holder of the shield, only shooting at the feet from what i saw did anything, and if you crouch it protects your feet

its not that bad, there is a big draw back to having it, you are really slow when its out, easy for others to just run around you and knife you

Well, I'm gonna start reading up on my warranty tonight when I get off work. This is the first system that I didn't get the extended warranty with. The world will end if I cannot get this problem fixed... END!

It's not as great as we make it out to be.... that said when used effectively it is just that - Effective.

And as for the LMG argument.... two things.

1. I THINK there is a limit to the amount of damage that can be absorbed by the Riot Shield. If he was standing there just taking punishment, it's possible that it got to the point where the shield broke and he just went down.

2. It's a lot more likely that he just took a stray bullet to the leg and went down. LMG's are notoriously inaccurate so bullets would have been all over the place.

One cool thing about the Riot shield which I found is that if you step out, and enemy soldier is shooting your shield... you get an assist if your teammates kill him while he's shooting your shield

Hmm, the assist thing is pretty cool. Of course, to really solve this problem, I may just resort to attaching a noobtube to a couple packs.

Hey I rock the noob tube on my M16. Best combination imo. Gives you an easy defense for camper's and Riot Shields.

M16

-Bling (NoobTube/HB sensor)

-ColdBlooded Pro

-Ninja

Mine will probably be similar (i've got ninja pro now though), but I like that ACOG site too. One thing I do love with this game vs the older versions: Iron sites are MUCH more usable!

Yea the iron sites are good. The only thing i don't like about some of them is the circle around the site which block's visibility.... Kind of like the Carbine was in COD5

actually i think you only get an assist if the bullets ricohchet <sp> and hit the person, you can get a kill from ricocheting <sp> bullets (because there is a challenge for it, if i remember)
