The new Z is heavy, as are most new models...

I also have this 95 300ZX Twin Turbo

Very nice! Love both the 240Z and the 300ZX Twin Turbo. I've always wanted a Z32 TT.

I wasn't a fan of the 370Z either. Never did like the motor. It was rough in the higher rpm range and didn't sound near as good as the 350Z.

I can't wait to see the NISMO Z either. Nissan has suggested that it is coming. My guess is that it will be at least 450 hp.

When you guys say that stock for stock the SS barely takes it do y’all mean from a dig? Cause I feel like from a roll the SS should more than take it unless the Z is underrated or it makes way more power up top than us. I don’t feel like watching the whole video but did he give a quarter mile time WITH the trap speed?

I had a 1971 240Z, LOVED that car! Had it for years, unfortunately, the rot monster eventually ate the entire unibody front sub frame. This would have been around 1980 I think? Way too involved and expensive to repair, sad.....

As for the new Z, I kind of like it. The hints to the generations of Z are nice, but somehow, the entire package just seems slightly off. I am mixed.

Wait until I see one in the wild and maybe a chance to drive one, then I can make up my mind!

There are no numbers available. Not on that video and not that I've found with Google. Just estimates from a ridiculous 3.5 0-60, to more believable 4.3 to 4.5 0-60.

Thanks. I agree 4.3-4.5 is probably where it will be. I would bet it would do about a 12.6-12.8 and trap @ 110ish for the manual. I don’t think these cars stock for stock will be much of a challenge/have the same IN GEAR acceleration. Of course I think this is a better car for modding though.

That's correct. Nissan hasn't allowed anyone to test the car yet or even drive it for that matter. It will be interesting to see what the real world numbers are. See my ride along video on the prior page for what the car is like on the road.

I like it better than the fugly new Supra. Looks like the muscle cars of the future are shifting to the twin turbo 6, as seen with the new Dodges, Fords, etc. Hopefully GM will get on board.

I love the old Zs (spent a lot of time with an old 280) and think they crushed this redesign. Would never take one over the Camaro, because there's a magic with a V8 that you can't match with a 6. But I'm really happy with what they did with this new one.

I suspect stock for stock my 1LE will walk away from this car on the straightaways and embarrass it through the curves.

Not to mention this guy is full of it. When he shows that shallow, narrow trunk (yes the opening is bigger) and claims it has more space than the Camaro? Clearly BS.
Exactly, and I was baffled to see such BS coming from Raiti, a Camaro fan. Also, did you notice the praise he had for the headroom and saying a person several inches taller than him will have no problem fitting, when he had to keep his head in a tight spot not to hit the roof? I mean, one assumes he wouldn't crank the seat up to the highest position when talking about headroom... Minor things, but enough to sow seeds of doubt about the rest of the review.

He for sure needs to take a better look at the Camaros trunk. After all we had to sacrifice a spare tire to get that trunk .

I like the new Z and am glad Nissan is making it. I wouldn't take it over a new Camaro though.

Sounds about right. They estimate about a 15% improvement vs. the outgoing model.
