We have natural gas in Oklahoma we can't give away. Yet our CNG station is covered in weeds and out of business. People are lazy, slap $22.00 worth the gas in our Chevy Cruze and go about 400 miles. Try making people buy a $40,000 electric car and wait in line to charge it, or come home at 11 o'clock at night in a a driving rainstorm, and try "plugging in" in your apartment complex parking lot.
Another problem? Guy dumps a junk Prius in a parking lot. To get rid of the $150 crush value car, you have to pay $1300 to have the battery pack disposed of. What's the guy working for minimum wage going to buy? Can he buy a $4,000 charging station to put in his yard to charge his $40,000 car? This country is so out of touch. These people need $17,995 Kia's that run on gas. |

i wonder what happened to CNG cars, i've read about home fill CNG stations, and how CNG has 25% less CO2 emissions. Given different area of the country get their electrical power from varied sources. A CNG car in Oklahoma is probably producing less CO2 than an EV. If the aim is to reduce CO2 emissions, different areas require different solutions.

I agree completely. If the Baby Boomer generation hadn't decided to raise entitled booger eating millenials, we wouldn't be in the shape we are today.

Doesn't that mean that Oregon, Nevada and AZ will get a boost in new car sales then?

that's fine i want to kick California out of the union. they disregard the constitution, the bill of rights and run the state as a independent country anyway.

I love gas engines but getting rid of them is the right thing to do. I would like to see the date moved up to 2025.

Green new deal 1, sweaty subjects, 0. Maybe California could look into a pot or windmill powered car. Surely taxpayer funded research to the tune of tens of millions isn't out of the question. When i was stationed there i saw what i perceived to be many pot powered cars anyhow.
