I am sorry, but that looks like she is trying to do some dance.

And yes it's real, and it's sad, but...LMAO!

There was a guy here in washignton state that got a shot (dont know what it was for) but he was paralize shortly after getting the shot, They said it happens sometimes that the body reacts in that way.

I dont get flu shots because I get the flu afterwards, no matter what anyone says lol.

Many times you can get the vaccine for free, takes two minutes and you're on your way.
Funny - I haven't gotten a single shot since I finished out all the ones required for school (and that was back in seventh grade).

And the only time I've been sick in the last decade was one time with an upper respiratory infection (for which there would have been no vaccine anyway).

What people seem to have forgotten these days is that your body will create its own immunities. Get good sleep, take vitamins, and eat right - your body will take care of the rest.

In Detroit last weekend we had our annual Free Press Marathon. 3 men died during the event. You should have read the 3 local stations online blogs. 95% of them blamed the H1N1 flu shot.

Seriously?

I will be in line to get mine. I work in Detroit and that puts me in some really nasty, dirty germ filled situations. I would rather get the shot and take my chances than naught.

I got the 3 series hepatitis shots because I am around drug abusers and blood borne pathogens. As others have stated, the benefits outweigh the risk for most people.

In 2005 I didn't get a flu shot and got seriously and painfully ill. I have got a flu shot every year since 1988 (military) along with hordes of other vaccines. Never had I experienced any ill effects from vaccines, save, a sore arm or fatigue.

It is a MYTH that flu vaccines cause the flu. If you are borderline sick when you get a shot, you will likely get sick anyhow and the symptoms will be worse as now your immune system has to fight your pre-existing illness and your flu shot. The vaccine contains dead strains (or multiple strains) which, when injected causes your body to familiarize your immune system to those strains. Being sick (with non flu) will seriously exacerbate the symptoms. Thats why is is advisable to only get a flu shot when healthy.

Vaccines are responsible for eradicating smallpox. That's something that sleep, vitamins, and a good diet couldn't put a dent in.

The risk of getting a debilitating injury from a vaccine is pretty much nonexistent. You are much more likely to catch the disease you would get vaccinated for.

And getting vaccinated isn't just about your own health; it's about the overall health of society. Everytime a bacteria replicates, there is a chance of mutation. Everytime it mutates, there is a chance that it will become stronger. If you are vaccinated, the bacteria will be killed before it can mutate into some other strain. If you refuse vaccination, you are putting yourself at risk of becoming the breeding house of an entirely new strain of the bacteria or virus that may be stronger or harder to kill.

The media looks for a story. A good looking cheerleader who can't walk or talk anymore because of a flu shot is gonna draw ratings. I guess the fact that thousands of people are saved each year from vaccinations isn't gonna do the same...

Well, I'll go get a shot if you agree to foot the bill.

Very good advice. I've given many a flu shots this year and have gotten one myself. Vaccines are a blessing. Get educated at the centers for disease control website. Don't let sensationalism make you make a wrong choice.

Most of the time you can get the standard flue shot for free, but I still don't do it. Now, I don't know if I'll let my daughter do anymore. The video didn't say if this was the first time she ever got it or not.
