Insurance WTF?

My mom just spoke to our agent at Travelers and all I have to say is WTF?
With the information they have on the camaro, it would cost me (19), under my parents policy $10k a year to insure. If my mom wanted to insure it for herself it would be $5k a year.... I dunno if they just don't have any info on it yet and they cant get an accurate quote or what, but if this is the case I am out of the camaro game until I'm either 25 or I win the lotto.

My question to all of you guys is what were you all quoted per year, who your insurance is and all the details. I wanna see why it would cost me so much.

Nope I have a 100% clean record. I'm thinking (and hoping) they just don't have their crap together yet and cant get a good quote out yet. I tried giving them a VIN and the agent said it wont do anything... I remember talking to another member, he said he was quoted $1900/6 months for three cars including the camaro....

Not possible, that is absolutely ridiculous. You will pay the car off in insurance in three years. TOTAL BS!

Go with a different dealer..In Some cases going with the family dealer saves you money, but this will not. Anybody will beat that price...ANYBODY!

Sucks to be young and male. When I was 21 I checked on full coverage on a motorcycle I wanted. The insurance quote for the first year was more than the MSRP of the bike.
