I can't wait to see some track testing and feedback from pro drivers like Randy P.

GM did amazing things with the Alpha chassis, lets see if they hit a home run with the chassis on this platform.

One thing I am very curious about (which was not touched on last night) are the improvements to the new 4th gen. Magneride (MRC) 4.0 shocks.

If you pull both paddles it disengages the clutches so you can rev the engine.

I'm in the minority but I prefer rowing my own gears. I can push my left foot down and rev rather than using both hands to hold in some paddles. Seems like a gimmick to me. Nothing like having an automatic decide to go into 6th/8th gears at 35mph and then I have no throttle response so I have to wait for the car to decide to downshift 2-3 gears to get moving.

I'm kinda meh on the overall look but maybe seeing one in person would change my mind. The performance is definitely up there for the price. I didn't like the C7 when it first came out but grew to like it over time. Perhaps the same will apply with the C8.

What’s really crazy is the Tesla model S is still faster, and the Roadster is even faster and quicker than the model S! POW! Mind blown! Plus the Roadster looks 1000x better.

and its starting at $140-190,000 more than the new C8 so.......it better perform that much better. POW!

Everyone is thinking this car is a bargain, but Chevy has adopted the sales model of the European cars already with the C7. Low base price, but ridiculous option prices, and good luck finding a base model for the first couple of years. You'll see more with $80K+ pricetags than $60K pricetags.

And yes, you'll see more expensive ones the first year because that's what most folks buy when a new model launches. Most buyers want one with lots of bells and whistles, not the base model. I've been doing this for a long time and this has always been true. You get some that want a low option car but 80%+ want one that's got some nice options on it.

Not crazy at all. That's electric propulsion for you. Torque is instantaneous with electric.

Indeed, however, Tesla isn't quite there in the handling / chassis department yet.

The new Model 3 S does pretty good, but it is still far from a performance chassis.

Now you take the acceleration of Tesla , add in a performance chassis with proper bushings, suspension , and 4 wheel TQ vectoring and then you will see some amazing things.

and you better hope you don't have to get anything repaired on a Tesla. If it's not drive-able, 6 months minimum you will be without it.

It appears that Mag Ride IS include with Z51 now. If you take existing prices for Z51- 3395, PDR-1795, Seats - 1995 and even if you add an additional add another 20%, you're still just around 68,700

Or maybe mag ride wasn’t available without z51. Can’t remember back then

Maybe but it's not in 2020 according to chevys site.. specifies FE3 instead of FE4
