C8 Corvette!
Anyone else excited to see what Chevy has in store for us tonight at 10:00pm CST? From the leaked interior photo you can find with a quick search (leaked about an hour ago), it looks amazing inside!
My main worry is that the price tag may drive buyers away. Not saying I would sell my Camaro and get one, but if the price was right I'd love to have one the first out! I'm guessing 70k for a somewhat decked base model with about 500hp, 490tq. That's just be spit-balling though! I have been waiting for this reveal since they announced the date, I know someone else is excited like I am! |

Not in the least bit here. Although I've been getting a kick when reading the post on the Vette forums LMAO! Weirdos have reminded as of late why I didn't buy a Vette a few years ago.

I generally like GM interiors lately. Not Audi but pretty good. But Audi is actually getting off their groove of late. But this? OMG this is horrendous.

IDK, looks pretty good to me. A hell of a lot better than the C7 cockpit. If it looks Porsche like, that is a good thing in my mind.
From that pic, it looks upscale with nice materials and driver focused.

Steering wheel looks practical in that you should be able to see the IP better but is really ugly. It looks like 63/64 Chrysler 300 with a square steering wheel. I had one and it was awkward. Also with that large unsupported area in the upper center I will bet the wheel will flex. All those buttons in a vertical row will make you take your eyes off the road to select. I think the Gen 6 Camaro layout is about perfect. The only exception is the Driving Mode button by the shifter which I have hit while resting my hand on the shifter (minor annoyance). If only the materials were of better quality. Specifically the hard plastic dash top and on the door panels.

I'm sure it won't take long before the whiners come out , especially if there is any black plastic in the front end . Only thing that will be worse will be the ones here saying the 6th gen Z28 needs the LT7 . Well at least Chevy is listening and maybe all the crying will lead to a change , ha not .

As for the rest, with automatic climate control, touching them is almost never needed, except maybe to trigger the defroster and change fan speed in colder weather, and I don't know the last time I needed those functions in those conditions where I didn't set them before driving off anyway! |
