A C8 Corvette with 0-60 in UNDER 3 sec for less money than a new ZL1 Camaro let alone a ZL1 1LE??

I absolutely love it. Blue, Black wheels and High Wing Spoiler and the C8 looks like an absolute beast.

I never thought I would say this, but this is the first car I would actually trade my Camaro in for (please don't tell my wife

) - But since the C8 will be way out of my budget (in europe we usally only get the high equipped cars) guess that will never happen. But I can't wait to testdrive one next year

i love everything about this car.....buttttt that steering wheel is toooo dang big. and i really wish chevy made the real wing functional.

I think it looks fantastic. I'd almost want one if it were really 60k...but the automatic...I really like rowing my own gears- even if the car is slower. And it being new, what will dealers tack on for ADM- 10K, 20K and for how long before the newness wears off and you can really get one for 60K?

For the same money you're going to really have to want that back seat to get a ZL1 over this.

Maybe the available manual will be a better selling point, but speaking for myself even as a longtime "save the manuals" type, I don't know if I could justify turning down a C8 just for that reason.

Well you are very quickly running out of "performance cars" to choose from then aren't ya?

All the supercars (mid engine layout) are automatics.
So you're left with pony cars and muscle cars.... which for the near future, will still have a manual...... but I could see that going away with the next generation. 60% and then some of the Mustangs, Challengers, and Camaros are already automatics. I expect that number to grow over the next 3-4 years to reach a point that manufacturers don't see the profit in maintaining a manual transmission.

Are you referring to the rear wing on the Z51 model? You think it's not functional?

This car has definitely made me re-think purchasing a ZL1 this Spring. Hmmm, what to do, what to do?

2LT with the Z51 package looks perfect. Don't really need any of the other optional add-ons. Things start adding up when you do that. Pretty sure it will still come in under 70 grand with those two options.
